Crazy kinda crush on you
The school year had just started. Eleven-year old Oliver Oken placed his stuff on his desk and looked around. Most of his friends were around the classroom talking to eachother. He started walking towards his friends…that's when someone passed by him.
He turned around and saw a brown-haired girl sit at a desk and look around.
"She seems quite lonely." He thought. He looked at her for a moment, but quickly shook the toughs off of his mind and went back talking to his friends. A blonde haired girl approached him. Eleven-year old Lilly Truscott.
"Hey, Oliver, what's up?" she said, smiling.
"Not much…" he said, occasionally glancing backwards. The blonde looked towards that direction and saw the brown-haired girl.
"Ooohhh…I seee…." Said Lilly, grinning. "Ollie's got a new crush!"
"I haven't got a crush!" Oliver nearly yelled. "That's gross, it's a girl!" Lilly looked quite offended, but then she smirked.
"Right…"
The class started, all the students sat on their desks as the teacher entered the classroom. He looked around and saw the girl again. He stared at her blue eyes and suddenly his knees got weak.
"What the…?!" he mumbled, moving a hand to where his heart was. His heart had speeded up.
"Good morning, class." Said the teacher a rather old-looking woman. "We have a new student in our school and I'd like to introduce her."
He saw the girl get up and walk to the front.
"Hey y'all, I'm Miley Stewart." She said.
Her accent. It gave him chills…it sounded like music. Oliver led his hand to his heart again. It was still beating fast.
But then he heard some people laughing. Amber and Ashley had big grins on their faces.
"Oohh, look, they brought a bumpkin to school!" said Amber, what caused more laughter. Lilly sent a look of disapproval at Amber and Ashley. Oliver saw Miley lower her head and suddenly anger started running though his body. He stood up and faced Amber.
"Leave her alone! She didn't do anything to you!" he yelled. Miley looked at him, surprised.
…
It was break time. All the students were hanging out at the hallway or buying something to eat. Oliver stood up, ready to leave the classroom with Lilly, when he saw Miley sitting at her desk alone. He walked towards her.
"Aren't you comin'?" he asked. She looked up at him.
"Um…I don't know…" she said. "I don't know if I'll get used to here." He looked at her for a moment. "Anyway, thanks for defending me earlier." She smiled, he felt his cheeks burning.
"Uh, yeah…anytime." He said.
"I never asked your name." she said.
"Oliver Oken." He said, still blushing. Lilly walked near them.
"Hey there, I'm Lilly Truscott." She said, smiling.
"I'm Miley. Well, you already know that." Said Miley.
"Why don't you come with us?" said Lilly.
"Really?" said Miley.
"Yeah. We can show you the school!" said Oliver, cheerful. Miley looked at the two and smiled.
"All right." She said, standing up and following her new friends outside the classroom.
