All he could see was green. Flashes of the light everywhere, occasionally coming into contact with walls and pillars, occasionally embracing the softness in someone's skin. And then, suddenly, that someone wasn't a someone anymore. They were fallen, sporting broken, pallid complexions that left that someone open to read, and at the same time also inexplicably closed off. Stupid, meaningless collections of molecules. They didn't matter. Not anymore. They were gone.
It was just a moment. Another yell, another flash of green, (not) another fallen friend. But this time, he didn't only see green.
He saw red.

It was just a moment.

First, he was seeing the flame of her hair, running, crying after the train. A flash of red hair whipped past him as she ran out of sight, too shy to allow herself to be noticed. And he hadn't, really, noticed her much then. Not really.
Then he saw her body, lying limp and (maybe if he had got there in time. Had he? He never seemed to) lifeless on the dirty floor. Tom by his side. His enemy by his side, her on the ground in front of him.
-how screwed up is that-
He saw her fighting for life in the Ministry. Not hers in particular. Just life. He liked that about her.
Likes. Likes that about her.
Kissing her. The moment of contact, feeling the softness of her lips press against his. Forgetting his problems for just a second. Just a moment. For the first time, just for a moment, feeling complete, because he was holding her.
He hadn't thought it was possible for someone to feel so much in just a moment.

They say your life flashes before your eyes as you die. He wondered, fleetingly, if her life was flashing before her eyes. It was all wrong. Flashes of moments with her, culminating to bring him her final moment.
-how screwed up is that-

It was just a moment.
A/N: This was a huge step away from my normal format of writing, and inspired by the marvellous work of pinkdigi. I think it worked out, but let me know what ya'll thought. Peace.
