Prologue (Katniss just found out about the 75th hunger games):
I call everyone to my house, Gale, Peeta, Haymitch, Gale's family, my mother, and Prim.
"We need to run." I state when everyone is there, "I know this sounds crazy, but Gale and I can hunt, Prim and my mother can help people if they get hurt. Peeta and I can't go back to the Hunger Games." I finish and everyone stares at me.
"All right," says Haymitch, I stare at him. "I've been waiting for a way to get out of this hell hole, let's run," he says and I smile. Once Haymitch says something, almost everyone agrees with him.
"First, I need to get some friend of mine," he says with a smile, we agree that his 'friends' should meet us in the woods.
We make it through the fence easily enough, the peacekeepers have never been that strict around here.
When we get to the woods, I see a small group of people there, Finnick Odair the sex symbol of the fishing district. Annie Cresta, another victor.
Effie is also there, which I am surprised about, she is not wearing any makeup, in fact, she is in normal clothes that hang almost loosely on her. I almost didn't recognize her.
And then there is Cinna, I hug him and he hugs me back, "What are you doing here?" I ask them and Finnick smiles a charming smile but I step back and lock my hand with Peeta's.
"We're here to get out." He says and they all nod.
We travel for days, Gale and I keep everyone in a fresh supply of meat and wild plants but after a while, we all get tired, especially the kids.
After a week of travel, we see a fence and people all around on farms. I step out of a bush to be greeted by a small girl with blond hair and icy blue eyes and a tall boy with short dark hair and deep blue eyes.
