3rd POV

Sighing, Skyler sits in the back seat of her mother's car. She watches the scenery quickly pass by the window, though soon it starts to move slower, and slower. Feeling the car slowly come to halt, she looks away from the window and towards the front of the car where the driver, her mother sat.

"Alright kiddo!" her mother's voice rang through the car. "Time to move into our new home." Skyler's mom turned off the engine to her car and unlocked the doors. Opening the driver's door, Skyler watches as her mother quickly climbs out and walks around the car so that she can pop the trunk.

Skyler sighs once again, annoyed. She never wanted to move to Washington in the first place. She wanted to stay in Ohio, with all her friends and familiar surroundings. Her face showing her displeasure, Skyler opens the car door beside her and climbs out, attempting not to fall in the process she puts her hand on the top of the car to steady herself.

"What's taking you so long? come grab some bags, we've got some settling in to do."

Shutting the car door of her mothers SUV, Skyler walks to the back of the car and starts to grab some of the suitcases and bags out of the trunk. Hearing another car engine she turns to see a large moving truck Park beside her mothers SUV.

Two men hop out of the truck and begin to unload it as well. Skyler was thankful her mom had decided to hire to of the company's men to help unload the truck and place the furniture where it was needed. Seeing her mother walk up to the door and unlock the door, Skyler begins to carry some bags to the door so that she can help settle in.

It was later that day, they had gotten a large portion of the house set up. When they had started unpacking it had been early in the morning, but now it was late afternoon. All the furniture was where it needed to be, and the two men her mom had hired to help had taken their truck and left hours ago. Now boxes laying on the floor throughout the house just waiting to be unpacked and put away in their correct placed.

Exhausted from all the effort she had put into today Skyler, sat on the couch as her mother finished cooking whatever she was cooking. To be honest, Skyler was too tired and too hungry to care what was being made, she just wanted to eat. She was excited about one thing though, and that was to take a shower after she got to finish eating, she could only hope that the shower had good water pressure. Skyler was certainly glad her mother had paid the electric, and water before they arrived at the house.

"Leftover pizza is done!" Her mother shouts from the kitchen. Payton got up from her spot on the couch remembering that they still had pizza left from lunch. Leftover pizza was better than nothing to eat at all, she could only hope it was warmed up enough.

Skyler yawns as she pulls her car into a random parking spot. she pulls her key out of the slot, shutting off the engine, then she reaches over and grabs her bag from the passenger seat. Skyler was lucky her mother worked late night shifts, or else she would be scared, as she didn't have her own car at the moment. The last one she had broken down, and there was no fixing it so it was scrapped. Skyler would have to look into getting a new car.

Stepping out of the SUV, shes startled when a red car swerves into the parking spot next to hers, it has its top down and 4 people sit in it.

Seeming them staring at her she waves awkwardly before walking away towards the main entrance of the building. She needed to go talk to someone about getting her schedule, and a map.

Entering the large building she looks around for the main office for about 10 minutes, seeing as the bell is getting close to ringing she decides to ask someone for directions. seeing the same group from earlier that had parked beside her, Skyler decides to walk up to them and ask for directions.

Making her way to the group of people, the shortest of them all, a female notices her first. "Hello is there anything we can do for you?" Her voice is cheery, her eyes shine with happiness and she had a large smile on her face.

Skyler looks at the raven-haired girl and smiles slightly trying to be friendly. "Um, I was wondering if you could give me directions to the office. I'm new here and can't seem to find it, but I need to get my schedule." Skyler chuckles awkwardly.

Out of the corner of her eye, Skyler spots the only other female of their group, the blonde giving her an unimpressed look. She clearly did not want her near them.

Skyler gives the group a quick once over, besides the two females there was a raven-haired boy and two brunets. All three were tall, with the raven-haired male being the largest. Lengthwise and muscle wise.

Looking back at the raven-haired female, it seems as though her smile has gotten even wider. Skyler didn't think that was possible.

The girl in front of Skyler starts to speak, but then another voice cuts her off. Instead, a deeper voice speaks. "I can take you, my first class isn't that far from the office."

Skyler turns to face the people beside her. It was the largest of the males who spoke. She looks at him, her eyes meeting his for a split second. "Thanks." Skyler smiles.

The larger Male smirks. "No problem shorty." He says and starts walking away from the group, Skyler assumes shes expected to follow. Her eye twitches at her newly found nickname given to her by the brute.

Turning back to the group, she tries not to let her anger show at the nickname. She looks at the shortest girl of the group about to thank her. "No need to thank me I didn't do anything. By the way, I'm Alice, and we're going to be great friends!"

Skyler nods. "I'm Skyler, and I hope so Alice!"

Feeling someone looking at her she quickly glances at the blonde female, but seeing her glare at her, causes Skylet to look away.

"Hey, Shorty! Hurry up."

Skyler waves her goodbye to the group and then turns to see the large Male at the end of the hall, a smirk still plastered on his face, and a hand beckoning her to come.

Her eye twitching once more, Skyler is just itching to tell him off fire calling her short.

Skyler then starts to speed walk down the hallway as more people start to enter, Wanting to avoid the large section of teenagers that would soon flood the whole hallway scrambling to reach their classes before they were late. Finally catching up to the tall man, she forces herself to stay nice and not sass the larger Male for calling her short.

"I'm not short," Skyler grumbles to herself, Out of the corner of her eye she sees the taller man quietly chuckling at her. A few seconds later the bell rings, Skyler cringes as the hallways become a sea of teenagers trying to get to their classes. Being the smaller person she is, she almost gets separate from her escort because of people pushing past her trying to beat the bell. Suddenly shes pulled into something hard. About to go off on whoever pulled her she looks up to see the guy she was following. "Can't have you gotten lost short stack, I'm supposed to get you to the office remember?" He looks down at Skyler a smirk on his face and his eyes clearly showed his amusement. "Thanks," she mumbles thankful.

"Here hold onto my sleeve so you don't get pushed away again. Probably should have said this earlier, I'm Emmett." He says chuckling slightly at forgetting to introduce himself.

"Skyler." She says looking up to the male, she can't seem to help but think he's handsome when he laughs, Well she admits But shes still agitated from being called short. Walking beside the male was very intimidating, while Skyler would never admit to being short. She would say that the male beside her towered over her. Reaching towards Emmett she takes his advice and grabs his sleeve, blushing very slightly.

After walking for a few moments Emmett stops. "Heres the office, I can stay to take you to your first class if you want." Emmett looks down at Skyler and looks into her eyes for a moment.

"Thanks for bringing me here and it would be cool if you could show me to my first class, seeing as I know where nothing is." She chuckles awkwardly. "Let me go get my schedule." Skyler walks into the office and sees a woman sitting at the front desk. "Um, Excuse me ma'ma? I'm new, this is my first day. Can I have my schedule please?" The woman looks up at Skyler with a warm smile. "Hello darling, your name please?" "Skyler Kingston." Skyler than hears the sound of a printer at work. As the woman at the desk is about to hand Skyler her schedule, the bell rings. "Thank you!" Skyler says before gently taking the paper from her hand and exiting the office. She feels bad knowing that Emmett was now going to be late because of her.

"So what's your first class short stack?" Emmett's voice sounds beside Skyler as she exits the office and turns to stand beside him. They were already late so there was no rush. "English, with Mrs. Lancer."

"Cool! that's where I was heading." Emmett says starting to walk towards their newly found shared class. "Hey shorty, let me see your Schedule, so I can see if we have any more classes together." Skyler hands the larger man her schedule, she hoped she had more classes with him.

Even if they hardly knew each other, or they weren't friends she would at least know someone familiar around. "Alright, we've got English, gym, physics, and economics together." As Emmett continues walking he looks down at Skyler with a smug smirk on his face, then he starts to speak again. "Looks like your stuck with me for most of your classes shorty!" He laughs.

This time Skyler glares up Emmett. "Stop calling me short!" she glares up at him. Emmett looks down at her and laughs harder. "Well, aren't you just adorable when you're mad. You look like an angry tiny puppy. Besides you are short. How bout I call you tiny instead."

Skyler grumbles to herself quietly, instead of telling him off like she wanted to, she knows there's no point. He would keep calling her small just in different ways. Skyler stopped glaring at the brute, instead of sighing as he laughs at her anger.

They continue walking

a few seconds more before stopping. Emmit turned to Skyler. "Well, here's Mrs. Lancer's Room. You Ready for your first class Tiny?" Skyler rolls her eyes at the nickname but says nothing about it. looking at Emmett. "I guess."

Emmett gives one of his signature smirks "I least I have a good excuse for being a few minutes late." Emmett then turns and opens the door. "Lady's first."
