One morning at the Littlest Pet Shop, Ian and Minka were painting while the other pets were doing their usual hobbies until Blythe came in with a box.
"What's in the box Blythe?" Ian asked.
Blythe pulled out a video game console. "It's a video game console."
"Wow!" Minka exclaimed. Then she was confused. "What's a video game console?"
"It's where you play video games on it." Blythe explained as she hooked up the console to the TV.
"But how do we play with it?" Ian asked.
Blythe pulled out a controller. "You play with this device called a controller." she explained.
"What's going on here?" Sunil asked as the other pets came up to Ian and Minka.
"Blythe's got a new video game console." Ian replied.
"I think I've heard of those." said Russell.
After Blythe finished hooking up the console, she put a cartridge in the console.
"Now to play the console, you need a game to play with." Blythe explained. Then she turned on the console and the game started.
"Oooohh!" The pets exclaimed.
"Those are very nice...um...what are they?" Penny Ling asked.
"Those are graphics you see in the game." Blythe exclaimed.
"Sorry we keep asking all these questions to you Blythe." Ian said.
"It's fine. You just never seen a video game before." Blythe replied.
Soon the pets watched Blythe play the video game console.
"I wonder if us pets can play it?" Ian wondered.
"I gotta help Mrs. Twombly with a few things so go ahead and try out the console." Blythe said and then she left.
Ian grabbed the controller and began playing it.
"Look at me. I'm playing the console!" Ian exclaimed as he chuckled.
Ian played for hours as the pets were doing their own hobbies.
Soon Minka noticed Ian was really focused on the TV.
"Uh Ian. I think you've been playing long enough." Minka said to Ian but Ian didn't answer.
Minka then waved her hand in front of Ian.
"Minka, you trying to get me killed!?" Ian exclaimed.
"Oh brother." Minka sighed.
"Geez. He's been playing that video game since this morning." Vinnie said as he noticed Ian playing.
Then the pets noticed Blythe come in as she too noticed Ian really focused on playing the video game console.
"Uh Ian I think you've played enough for now." Blythe said as she took the controller out of Ian's paws and turned off the console.
"Huh? What happened?" Ian said as he snapped back to normal.
"You were playing that video game for hours ever since this morning."
Ian looked at the clock. The clock read 3:00 PM.
"Oh you're right. I guess I let that video game get to my head." Ian said.
"Luckily I have an idea to make sure it doesn't happen again." Blythe said to Ian. "To make it easy, you can play this console for an hour." she told him.
"Ok then." Ian replied.
Later that night Ian was laying in his pet bed with Minka thinking, "Will I be able to play that console again?"
