I say, frowning. I woke up late because of my litle sister, Brianna. It's my first day of high school, and it's already having a bad start.
"Nikki, can you help me with my peanut butter and pickles sandwich?" I just summoned the demon!
"What are you supposed to do when you need help?" I ask, pointing at the door with one hand while brushing my hair with the other.
"Ask Momma," says Brianna, frowning, and stomping out of my room.
I run downstairs, where Brianna is talking to Mom, and I grab a piece of toast. I say goodbye and get on the bus. "Did it!"
I smile as I see Chloe and Zoey, my BFFs! I sit across from them, and hand them my oldest diary, from my hectic birthday. By the time we get to school, they're finished.
We walk out of the bus, and walk to the school that we will be learning at for the next four years.
"High school!" says Chloe. "Alright, seriously though, are you and Brandon dating or what?"
Brandon Roberts, my crush, and I have been in a topsy turvsy relationship. He kissed me a couple of months ago, but it was for a charity, so I don't know if it was real or not.
"I dunno," I say, frowning, as I grab my schedule from the office. I open my phone and snapshot the schedule and make it my new wallpaper. "I mean, it's so confusing. Mackenzie is always tampering with our relationship. Shit! I summoned her."
Mackenzie Hollister is the equivalent of a snake in high heels. She is sitting next to her BFF, Jessica, and they're smiling.
"I thought she was still at that fancy prep school," Zoey says.
"So did I," I say, nodding. I go to my locker, and put in the code: 4859. I grab my books.
"See you in math, right?" Chloe asks me.
"At 10:30?" I ask. "Zoey, do you have it then?"
"Sure do," Zoey says.
I give them a hug. "See you at 10:30!" We walk our separate ways, as I grab my phone and look at my texts. I get one from Brandon:
From Brandon: What's up, Nikki? How's your morning going?From Me: Nothing much. Saw Mackenzie. :(From Brandon: Do you have math at 10:30?From Me: Chloe and Zoey have it then too! :)From Brandon: See you then, then!From Me: Yep!I smile. At least I have math with all three of my BFFs!
