I walked down the stairs way towards the ball room of the castle. Tonight was the full moon ball and everyone was going to be there. Prince and Princesses from around the nearby kingdoms. Even the Knights had the night off to come to the ball with the ones they loved. Tonight I was wearing my new dress, it was purple with a green lace bow . My purple hair was down tonight, it brought out my eyes more or thats what my mother Lilian said. As soon as I reached the bottom step I looked around the room smiling, but that smile soon fell as I heard a voice call my name "Hello Princess Luna, how are you tonight?" I knew that voice anywhere Prince Eric, how I hated this man. Every time we met he would try and get me to marry him. When would he understand that I didnt like him! He took my hand and kissed it. I soon pulled away and looked around for somewhere to hide when I heard yet another voice, this one I could stand. I turned and smiled My Knight Leo was standing there with his hand out. "May I have this dance Princess Luna?" I nodded with a small smile as I took his hand gliding onto the dance floor, soon enough we were spinning around I smiled up at him, a light blush on my face. "T-Thank you" He nodded. "Anything for our Moon Princess" He chucked and I giggled as I laid my head on his chest, I knew it was wrong, not fit for a princess but..I had fallen in love with a knight. Mother would not allow it, never in a million years so I never told that way he could still be my knight so I could see him every day. It seemed like we danced for hours, days even. Though I knew it wasn't that long. It felt like I was floating on a cloud...I wished that It would never end.

But It did, to soon, I heard the screams and we both stopped I turned around slowly looking out towards the night sky, there it was the dark mist with red eyes looking out of it. "..Overlord." I backed away from the opening as his stone warriors appeared on the floor, everyone was running trying to get away from them. I just stood there before Leo grabbed my arm. "Run" I turned towards him and nodded as I turned again and took off running out of the castle towards the frozen lake outside. Shadow warriors were following me, I knew they were but I kept running until they surrounded me. I sighed as I looked at them a small smirk on my face. "You asked for it..Ninja..GO!" I spun around in a circle, a purple and white light surrounding me as they backed off. After that I headed towards the edge of the garden turning and look at the fallen castle. Feeling a hand on my shoulder I turned and looked, smiling weakly as I looked at Leo and hugged him tightly. "Its all gone.." He nodded and looked down at me. "For now Princess..." I looked up at him smiling weaker before turning hearing a laugh. "Well, Now you can die in forever peace with your love cant you Miss Moon?" I growled looking at the Overlord, holding Leo's hand. "...I may die today..But I will return..somehow, someway I will return and I will defeat you no matter what it takes!" At that point it all went black...

And this is where our story begins.
