What no one knew was that she got there before Melissa did.

She found him lurking in the shadows, shivering and looking sickly. For a moment, she forgot about the demon possession and thought that Nick, normal Nick, was just having a bout with drugs. Just another thing to add to his constant downward spiral.

She reached out to touch him and he shuddered away from her.

"Faye," he said her name like a curse.

"Nick," She had the urge to touch him, to feel her fingers through his blond hair like she used to do. "What's wrong?"

"I need….I need something," He started fidgeting like he couldn't keep still. "I need you to get it for me."

That sent warning bells off in her head. "What do you want?"

"A crystal."

Then it all came back to her. The demon possession, the drowing, the funeral – she moved past him to get away. "I need to go-"

He grabbed her arm before she could get much further. "Wait."

She tried to shake him off but his grip tightened. "What are you doing?"

He smirked down at her and it reminded her off the times he used to do it in the past, ever cocky Nick. "What are you gonna do now, little Faye?"

She tried to get her arm back again but in vain. "Let go of me."

"Or what?" He cocked his head to the side, still smirking. There was something dark glinting in his eyes, something that didn't used to be there before and it scared her.

"Nick, let me go." She slowly initiated each word and he released her arm. She didn't run away however, something like curiosity (probably) kept her there.

'What now" The thought raised through her head and she stared up into his dark blue eyes before he reached down and kissed her in the mouth. It wasn't the best kiss she ever had. It was sloppy and needy and dry and it tasted like gravel. It sounded weird but that's how it was.

His hands are fumbling with her top and then it's off and they're climbing the stairs to get to the couch. She got on top of him and peered down at the dark eyes brimming with desire, for her, no one else.

"What now, little Nicky?" She grinned down at him and he pulled her down under him. She moaned out his name as he started biting on her neck.

He stopped for a moment, looking down at her strangely. "Power," he gasped out. "You're glowing with it."

"I'm powerful, what can I say?" She cockily responded before pulling him down for a kiss.
