All Spike's POV. Not my best of him, but not my worst, I suppose.

No One Cares

Poor Angel. Cursed to feel the torment of his sins for all eternity, not to mention he can never get laid. Oh no, poor Angel! That's what everyone thinks. That's what all of them think. Even the vampire side and the Master! Oh no, what great force of evil, brought to his knees by that curse.

Blah blah blah.

Maybe you feel Angel gets what he deserves; that he was evil and should pay for it. Or you're like me, and you see that one competitor for 'Evil-Doer of the Year' award is out of the picture and there's more room for you to make your mark.

Maybe you feel bad for Darla, who lost her lover to the curse. Oh, poor thing! She may be evil, but her love was pure. And it was lost with Angel.Yeah, well, Darla, no matter what she says or does, doesn't give a rat's arse about Angelus. She was just mad she lost her toy.

Or maybe you feel bad for the Slayer, who can never have Angel because she can't control herself and not have sex with him. They were perfect for each other… But they can never have each other… Boo hoo.

Or maybe you feel bad for Dru, who lost her 'daddy' and fell even deeper into her madness.

But I can tell you one thing: No one feels bad for me. 'Oh, don't worry about Spike. He's a male and uncursed. Don't worry about him!'

Well, here's what no one gets, except maybe him: HE-WAS-MY-SIRE!

My rival, my friend.

My brother, my father.

My abuser, my healer.

My teacher.

He's the one that told me about the slayer. Now don't get me wrong: I'm not a ponce, or anything. But I sort of…kinda…loved him. In a brotherly sense.

And now he's gone. And in all sense of justice and right that I've got left, I should be the one to kill him. Put him out of his pathetic misery once and for all.

But no one cares. I'm just another evil little vampire that kills and eats and has taken two slayers. No one feels bad for me.
