It was so cold outside and sleep pounded at Alec's head. He had just finished picking up some cat food for the Chairman, and was on his way back to his apartment. He smiled thinking about sharing an apartment with Magnus. It had been at least four weeks cense he had moved out of his room at the institution, Alec thought as he put the key into the door nod and turned it. The door opened to their apartment, which was full of colorful rugs and plush coaches, witch Magnus had promised weren't stolen. On a long pink coach next to the window sat Magnus, he was reading a spell book, curtains drawn and feet propped on a coffee table.

Magnus didn't look up, but still Alec smiled and hastily put away the cat food he had just purchased. Then he nimbly strode over to where Magnus sat and cuddled up next to his side, putting his head in the crook of Magnus's neck.

"Aren't you tire? It's what, 3 in the morning," Magnus said not looking away from his book.

"I would ask you the same question, my little book warlock," Alec replied, wrapping his hands around the skinny warlocks waist. Magnus always seemed to just be all limbs, and sometimes it worried Alec, but now was not one of those times. In truth he could feel sleep pulling him away from this peaceful moment.

"I wouldn't have to read so much if you and your shadow hunter friends stopped running to your deaths," he said with a chuckle, finally putting the book away. Magnus looked down at Alec, his green cat eyes were glowing, his usually glitter spiked hair now lay flat on his head.

"I can't help it that Jace is an adrenalin junkie, even with Clary to worry about he still is as carless as ever," Alec said, hoping his blue eyes where mimicking Magnus's. But sadly the affect was not what Alec wanted, because his eyelids shut and his head bobbed.

"Go to sleep honey," Magnus said, pulling Alec's head onto his lap. Alec stretched his legs out and found a blanket being pulled over him. He wrapped his arms around his boyfriend's waist and smiled.

"I'll try to stay up with you." Alec said straining to keep his eyes locked on Magnus's.

"No, it's time for you to sleep. Tomorrow night I have a surprise for you and I need you well rested," Magnus said, bending over to kiss Alec lightly on the forehead. Alec's eyes started to flutter and he let sleep pull him under.

Perspective changed to Magnus.

When Alec was finally asleep, Magnus lifted his head and nimbly climbed out from under him. Magnus moved fast but silently to their bed room, he opened the door and snapped his fingers. The closet door flung opened, with a combination of magic, and Alec's undesired habit of keep his clothes wrinkled he had keep his surprise a secret. With 700 years of relationship experience he had planned a romantic, sparkle filled dinner.

In the closet was there reservation and their newly bought suits. Alec's was plain and black, but because Magnus was Magnus he had bought Alec a tie that matched his perfect blue eyes. Magnus's suit was opposite from ordinary, it was black yes, but he had added sparkles to the fabric and a rainbow bowtie to the stunning mix.

It freaked Magnus out that this night would be anything but perfect so he had checked multiply times to make sure everything was in order. He couldn't wait to see the look on Alec's face, he couldn't wait for that night to come. But little did he know that their perfect dinner would be way less than perfect, it would be a disaster.

This was so fun to right, they are my OTP *fan girl squeal* okay well there is more, obviously.
