Light in the Darkness
Axel sat in his room, he hadn't quite figured out how he was going to tell her about the latest mission. He sighed and rubbed the back of his hair, "This is gonna be one hard story to tell." He finally decided just to do it, basically rip the bandage off in a figurative way. He portaled out of his room and into the Grey Room and saw her and Demyx sitting down, working on some new composition.
He smiled, just watching her reminded him of the past few weeks full of fun. He walked over to the two and cleared his voice, "Ahem." They looked over at him, her red eyes brightened at the sight of him. His gaze softened from the usual cockiness to a sort of cherishing look. Demyx took this as his queue to leave as he portaled away. "Can I sit?" Axel asked the blue-haired girl. She nodded and he sat down next to her.
"What's wrong?" she asked him immediately, being able to sense that something was amiss. He sighed again, "I'm being sent on a long mission to Castle Oblivion and I have no idea when I'll be back." He glanced over at her, she looked down and small frown concealing her usual look of happiness. He took her hand, gently, "Rixa, I'll be back, it isn't a dangerous mission."
She nodded and looked back up at him, "I know, I'll just miss you, that's all." He chuckled. "You have Demyx and Roxas, got it memorized?" She smiled brightly at his comment, "They aren't the same as you though, and you might forget about me." He embraced her and leaned down to where he was close enough to her face so that no one else would hear, then he whispered, "I could never forget about you, Anarixa. You are my light in this darkness."
