Chapter 1: Default Chapter
A/N: yeah, yeah, I know. But this is going to be different though. It picks up where Oh No! A Sequel left off but it's in Pippin's POV. I hope this comes out alright.
Disclaimer: I seem to be alive therefore I can't own any of the characters you know. Mostly Pippin because this takes place on Earth.
We landed in someone's home and Vanessa didn't seem too happy to have me there. We saw some weird looking people sitting on the bed. They looked to be smoking but I didn't know what; I had never smelt it before. Vanessa took me out of the room pretty quickly and we went to her home.
"My mom isn't going to be very happy if she finds a male hobbit in my room," she mumbled.
"Why not?" I asked. "Does she not like hobbits?"
"No, it's not that. I don't think she'd appreciate the fact that there was a guy in my room."
"Oh. So where am I going to stay?"
"I haven't figured that out yet. Do you think you could stay in the guestroom? No, that won't work. Um.how about Christy? She might let you stay at her house."
"OK," I said. "I finally get to meet Christy."
She called Christy on her phone and arranged for me to stay with her.
"Alright. Let's go. We're going to meet Christy at the mall and she'll take you back with her when we're done shopping for you."
"For me? What do I need?"
"Clothes. No one dresses like you here in America and I don't want you to stick out too much."
"Oh."
"Come on, let's go. I'm driving," she said, grabbing her keys and purse.
I was a little apprehensive about getting in the 'car' as Vanessa called it. She wasn't a very good driver.
"Woo! That was fun!" Vanessa said while getting out of the car in the mall parking lot.
I, on the other hand, was gripping the seat for my life. "Fun?" I asked as I gained some of the color back in my face. "Does everyone drive like you?"
"Not everyone; just the people who live her in Houston."
We walked into the mall and waited for Christy. It didn't take long but it felt like forever because I was receiving quite a few odd looks from passing people.
"Nessie!" I looked around and saw a girl around Vanessa's age with curly, dark hair come up to Vanessa.
"I wondered when you would be getting here, Christy!"
"Sorry. I had to get Jeannie off me. She wanted to come too. So, this is Pippin? Hi, I'm Christy," she said and held out her hand.
"Hullo."
"It's OK, Pip, she doesn't bite.hard," Vanessa jokingly said and Christy hit her.
"Come on you guys," Christy said. "We need to get this boy some new clothes; he's getting some pretty weird looks from people."
"No, the people are looking at me and my good looks," Vanessa laughed and struck a pose.
"You wish!" Christy cried. "Come on, Pip, let's leave her to pose and go look for clothes."
She led me to a place called Abercrombie and Fitch. Soon, Vanessa showed up.
"Whoa! This is way outta my price range," she said, looking at the tags.
"Well, you want your hobbit to be fashionable, don't you?" Christy asked.
"Not if a t-shirt costs $50!" Vanessa exclaimed. "You can pay for it."
"Um.OK. Never mind. He'd look like a prep anyway."
"Where can we go that's cheap?"
"Mervyn's?"
"Naw, still too expensive."
"Uh.Goodwill?"
"Yeah! I can afford that. Let's go. We can take my car," Vanessa said.
Christy looked at me and I put on a look of terror. "How about I drive?" she asked.
"OK, less miles on my car."
A/N: Sorry it's so bad but it's my first fic like this! So just deal wid it! He he, J/J. I'll try to type chapter 2 tonight as I have class in an hour. Bye!
