Yo!
So my friend, Etsuki-chan, not much of a Yu Yu Hakusho fan, I know (gasp) the HORROR!!! But anyway, I decided to write just a random one-shot for the holidays dealing with an anime she does at least know!

Random Side Note: "Ritsuka" is an awesome name:
Ritsuka had to admit, this was a great New Year's party, he couldn't remember ever being surrounded by so many friends. Okay so it was only Yayoi, Yuiko, Kio, his teacher, Natsuo, and Youji, seven people (including himself) just hanging out at Soubi's place, but for Ritsuka that was still a lot of people. But…speaking of Soubi, where was he?
Looking around he wondered where his fighter had gone to exactly, he had barely seen the older male all night.
"Ritsuka-kun!" Black cat ears twitched as he turned to his pink-haired friend. She smiled cutely and Yayoi pouted from behind her.
"Will you be my kissing partner?" Ritsuka promptly fell from his chair.
"Nani?" Kio, drunk from too much wine, slung an arm over the shoulders of Ritsuka's teacher who had passed out after one glass of the drink herself (Kio hadn't noticed).
"It's simple kid, when the clock strikes twelve you kiss someone to start off the new year!" Natsuo and Youji giggled to themselves already cuddled up to each other. Glancing at the clock, the young feline notice the minutes of the past year were dwindling fast. Yuiko still stared at Ritsuka hopefully and Yayoi's expression had dissolved into a glare.
"Uh…Anou…Eep!" Ritsuka was saved from having to answer when he felt his fighter's strong arms pull him into a warm embrace.
"Gomen ne, Yuiko-chan, but I believe I will claim Ritsuka as my own for tonight." Ritsuka blushed crimson and struggled against Soubi's stronger built body.
"You make it sound so perverted, Soubi! Lemme go!" Ritsuka whined, but the taller male held the child firmly in place. Kio laughed and finally passed out, nearly toppling over Ritsuka's sleeping teacheras he slumped to the floor.
Yayoi scooted closer to Yuiko and the tall female sighed but allowed it as everyone started the countdown to the New Year.

Natsuo and Youji giggled some more before lifting their blanket over their heads to make out and snuggle some more away from everyone else's prying eyes.

Yayoi gulped, gathered up his courage and scooted even closer to the girl next to him. Yuiko felt the male's hand brush hers and she turned to him in surprise.

Soubi leaned down to whisper in his sacrifice's cat ear. "I love you, Ritsuka."

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!"
Ritsuka twirled in Soubi's arms and for the first time since they met it was the younger boy that initiated a kiss from the other's lips. Yayoi kissed Yuiko gently on the cheek feeling the heat of her shy embarrassment on his mouth. Cheers could be heard from the neighbors and echoed from the television. Ritsuka parted and smiled up at Soubi,
"I love you too."
