He'd be lying if he said he never thought about it (Obsessed, if he's being honest).
He'd be lying if he said he never smelled her hair when they hugged.
He'd be lying if he said he never wished it was her body he slept next every night, woke up to every morning (He'd make her breakfast, he didn't get to do that before).
He'd be lying if he said he's never pictured her writhing beneath him (Man, does he miss the way she'd whisper his name right before…) instead of his wife.
He'd be lying if he said it was only his wife, son, or dreams of the NBA that got him out of that chair (And he's pretty sure Haley knows it). Making her proud was a high no drug could touch.
He'd be lying if he said that it wasn't her (Always her, sorry Hales) that made him feel like he could be the man he wanted to be. And not just Dan, Jr.
He'd be lying if he said he never thought about beating the shit out of his own brother, for scaring her off, again (Dude, seriously, you thought she'd say yes?). Lucas was deaf, dumb and blind when it came to that girl, no matter how much he prattles on about getting her.
He'd be lying if he said he didn't think about getting back together with her when Haley left to go on tour, and she helped him pack (Great timing Brooke. Oh and thanks for pointing out the flirting. No really).
He'd be lying if he said that he didn't miss the way she'd bitch him out, never let him get away with anything (And how long did it take for Haley to give him an ultimatum?). It makes him wish that his wife was always so goddamned nice (That can get annoying, real quick).
He'd be lying if he said he didn't think about giving it all up. Haley. The house. His Life. (Not Jaime though, never Jaime) If it meant that they could be together again. Because they could, they're older now, more mature. It wouldn't just be about sex (Was some damn good sex though).
He'd be lying if he said any of this. And there are many things Nathan Scott is (Lonely, jealous, an ass), but a liar is not one of them. At least, that's what he keeps telling himself.
