Severus Snape- A real life Mr. Darcy
I do not own Harry Potter in any way.
A/N- I'm currently on a Pride & Prejudice thing right now. I was watching it the other day and I thought, 'Darcy acts a lot like Snape'. Another thing, Sian's name is pronounced sigh-on.
Severus Snape walked thru the streets of Chicago's wizarding town. He stopped in on a little cafe.
A girl with blonde hair with pink streaks walked up to his table.
"Hello. I'm Elizabeth and I'm here to take your order", she said in a soft and light voice.
"Tea", he said.
"From London?" she asked.
"Yes. Please bore someone else with your stupid questions", he spat.
Elizabeth walked off into the kitchen. "Sadie! There's an extremely rude British man at table 5", Elizabeth said.
Sian sighed at the sound of her birth name. "I'll take over", she said.
"Good", Elizabeth said, throwing off her apron, "I'm going out for a smoke".
Sian grabbed the tea and some cookies, otherwise known as 'biscuits', in the UK. She opened the swinging door with her hip and made her way to table 5. "I'm sorry about Elizabeth", she told him, "She didn't specify what kind of tea you wanted, so I guess Twinning's English Breakfast Tea. I didn't fix the tea for you. I just boiled water and left the tea bag out. I brought you some 'biscuits' too".
"Thank you", Severus said, not looking up from his newspaper.
She turned to leave, but Severus grabbed her wrist. "How did you know?" he asked.
"I'm quite the reader, Mr. Darcy", she said.
He let go of her wrist and she headed back to the counter.
She had called him Mr. Darcy.
Obviously teasing him about his manners and comparing him to a fictional character in a book. It made him smile.
He had met someone as witty as himself.
He observed her for the next few hours.
She hadn't given him a name.
Whenever it slowed down, she would pull out a book.
She drank tea, not coffee, like most Americans her age.
The book was Pride & Prejudice.
It made him smile.
She could feel him staring. She looked up and into his steely black eyes. "Can I help you, Mr. Darcy?" she asked with a smile.
"My name is Severus Snape", he said.
"No. You're a real life Mr. Darcy", she said smiling.
"Then you can be my Elizabeth Bennett", he said, smiling in return, "Fancy a walk?"
"I'd be honored", she said.
*2 weeks later*
Sian went back with Severus to London.
When they got settled in, there was a knock at the door.
Severus answered it.
"Hello my dear friend", Dumbledore said, "I heard you came back from your trip".
"Yes", Severus said.
"Sev?" Sian asked.
Dumbledore walked in and asked, "Who is this?" he asked.
"This is my companion Sian", Severus said.
"Pleased to meet you. I've heard so much about you from Severus", Sian said.
*A few months later*
Sian was hired as Severus' apprentice, but wasn't received very kindly by the students.
"You want us to listen to some American, who's barely older than us?" a Slytherin said.
"She is to be my wife and your co-head of house, so you will treat her with respect", Severus said.
Severus Snape, the real life Mr. Darcy had met his own Elizabeth Bennett.
