Midnight Visit
I stood out on my balcony watching the moon and stars in the sky shining all so bright. Also, I was watching Nina and Zero having an argument. I have been close friends with both of them now after Nina almost married someone else. But at least Zero and Ichii passed the exam.
"How long are you going to stand up there on my roof?"
I asked knowing who it was.
"I didn't know the great Faith was such a spy."
Nanesa has been close by and he and I have been friends for some time now. After the exams, I give him updates on what Zero does when he sneaks away from the magic world to see his fiance.
"They live right next to me. It's hard not to."
I said.
"You have been close with Zero for years and you are letting her take him?"
I laughed. I did have a crush on him but I wasn't going to stop him.
"You do know his magic. I am being wise about this. And as long as he's happy I don't care."
Still watching them I smiled at how happy they were going to make each other.
"You had a rival in Zero too. Not just Nina."
"I half had one with her. But Zero was my full attention. He still owes me for cutting my hair, for burning my homework, spilling about my girl business, and breaking my nose! He has to pay someday."
Sprained your wrist. Not breaking your nose."
He corrected me.
"Right. Sorry. I broke your nose by accident."
I remember this time.
"You did apologize and even got in trouble for using magic on me to fix it. I would say that has been paid."
He laughed with me.
"One day I'll beat him!"
I giggled.
"He got a girl. So did Ichii, San wanted her own cousin, and I forget the other girl I hated. But I'm still here."
I told him. He raised an eyebrow at my hint.
"Are you asking me on a date?"
I rolled my eyes.
"Call it fake dating. Just pretend to date me to work your way to hurt Zero. Since Nina and I are friends. Won't be a problem."
I grinned. He nodded then surprised me by kissing my head.
"Thanks for that. Maybe teamwork is better."
Giggling again as he left I went inside to take a deep breath.
"If only you knew what I really feel."
Sighing I went straight to bed.
