A poem about Itachi's father, Fugaku, making him slaughter the whole clan, and in turn, Itachi kills him.
Your voice of Reason.
The Broken Jewels
I've killed again, just for you, my father.
You claim time and time again that it will make me stronger.
You pat me on the shoulder, you are so very proud.
Their screams echo through my mind, anguished and loud.
Where is that strength now, I wonder?
Lost in the cacophony of screams and thunder?
Father, is it true, that I do this just to please you?
You enjoy the countless bodies gathering the morning dew?
Each life is a jewel, a jewel that is broken.
More beautiful than any word that could ever be spoken.
Look at this, my father, these hands are stained red.
From the countless people that so painfully bled.
Every single jewel that was broken by my hand.
Their sharp and shattered pieces scatter across this land.
And now, my father, it is time I did something right :
The sword in your heart was conjured of spite.
Now, as the morning light fills this bloody void,
Let this be a reminder of the lives you destroyed.

Editor : Dun be so hard on yourself!
Nara : Well you're not the author.
Editor : If I was, everything would be replaced with something nice!
