Laurie had witnessed her parents dancing with each other many times. She would always catch them late at night when she would walk down the stairs, wanting her daddy to tell her another bedtime story. Being a five-year-old who absolutely adored her father, all she ever wanted was to be by his side. He was her hero, someone she looked up to. So it was only natural that she wanted to dance with him like her mother did and that night, she decided instead of just watching her parents dance, she would also dance.

Standing up from where she was sitting on the stairs, Laurie marched herself down and over to her parents. When the happy couple heard small pattering feet, they looked over and noticed a determined Laurie walking towards them. They stopped dancing and waited until their baby girl was standing where they where, right in front of the revolving door.

"Are you okay, kitten?" Red asked. "Do you want me to tell you another bedtime story?" he asked. Laurie looked at her father and gave her a toothy smile.

"I want to dance with you, Daddy," she replied. She had always been straight forward with what she wanted and it made both her parents laugh. Kitty stepped away from her husband and allowed Laurie to step in for her.

"Okay, sweetheart," he said, his chest filling with pride and love for his daughter. Laurie was his baby girl; she would always be his baby girl. He wanted her to have everything and more and he vowed to make that happen. "Step on my feet," he said lovingly and Laurie complied. Red held Laurie's small hands and he started slow dancing like he and his wife where doing.

Kitty walked over to the couch, sat down and watched as her husband and little girl danced. A smile started flickering on her face as she watched them dance to a silent song. They continued doing so for a few minutes until Red picked up Laurie and she wrapped her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck. She rested her head on his shoulder as he continued dancing.

"I love you, Daddy," Laurie said to her father. She started to become tired and her eyes started to droop.

"I love you too, sweetie," Red replied as he kissed the temple of his daughter's head. She soon fell asleep, content with having danced with her father. When Red realized he had a sleeping six-year-old, he stopped dancing. Kitty noticed this and stood up, walking towards her baby girl and husband.

"Is she asleep?" she asked quietly as she stood next to Red and softly rubbed Laurie's back.

"Yeah, she's out," Red said as he looked up from Laurie and looked at his wife. He stole a quick kiss from her. "I'm going to put her to bed," he added. Kitty smiled and kissed her husband back.

"I'll meet you in our room," she said as both her and Red walked up the stairs. Once upstairs, they went on and did what they said they where going to do.
