Legendary Ronin

Disclaimer: I don't own Final Fantasy X or any of its characters.

Author's Note: My first Final Fantasy X fanficion.

The majority of you cried at the end of Final Fantasy X. Most of that majority cried for Tidus and/or Yuna during said finale. Well I didn't.

I cried for Auron.

This poem is dedicated to those of you that cried along with me.

---

Was it wrong to die for friends?
To not be sent?
To tie loose ends?

-Yevon knows I've had the time to ponder it...-

Standing silent, tall,
Self-reliant; apalled
By what I see.
An old friend terrorizing
My homeland of Spira.

-"I'd like to meet Jecht before he fades away..."-

I know what I must do.
Frustrated and lonely I walk my path.
No regrets.
My story ended long ago,
Now it's theirs, and soon I'll go
To the Farplane.

-"I've played at life too long..."-

Just a quick second pilgrimage.
But this one will differ,
They'll all see.
I'll endow my revenge upon Yunalesca,
Defeat's no longer an option for me.
For I 'lived' to tell the tale.

-Inhaling toxic hope, exhaling life itself-

Together, you- No,
WE must save Spira
From its spiral of death and deceit.

-"Now's the time to shape your destinies..."-

Hopefully I'll help break the chain.
I know somehow they'll shine the light
That will prove
People deserve more out of life than false hope.
