Pairings: Oz X Elliot. Unbelievable fluff, Rated T for making out. No smut/lemon. Boy X Boy.

Inspired by Miss Peregrines Home For Peculiar Children's Song: Wish You Were Here and a couple of other songs by Florence + the Machine like their amazing song Stand By Me. Great songs, I love them so so much. Also check out other Florence + the Machine's songs. But now, please enjoy this.

Disclaimer: I don't own Pandora Hearts, unfortunately for me, fortunately for you. I suck at this :)

Oz was pretty sure he'd consider himself outgoing. He never let things bother him for long (at least not outwardly) and he'd never been a shy type of person. But this thing about Elliot was bothering him more than he'd like to admit.

(He was too embarrassed to say that he was actually hesitant about Elliot.)

It wasn't that he wasn't sure about his feelings; no, he loved Elliot. He was sure of that. But their ages were the problem.

After Oz was thrown into the Abyss, when he got out, he was shocked to find out that entire ten years had passed in the real world. While it was true that Oz was both mentally and physically 15, and Elliot was 16, his real age was 25.

(He couldn't bring himself to tell Elliot. He was afraid. Always afraid. Of rejection and that their relationship wouldn't be mended after that. And that Elliot would hate him. For lying to him. He didn't want that.)

He didn't want Elliot to look at him with hurt and pained eyes. It would break both of them.

It was a little funny; ironic even. When Oz and Elliot first met, they would have never imagined how their relationship would grow. The Vessalius family was the enemy of Nightray, and Elliot hated Oz just like he had been taught to by the Nightray duke, his father. Oz just thought that Elliot was a stuck-up prick that for some reason bore an enormous amount of hatred for the Vessalius family. And he hated that Elliot yelled at Ada and resented her just because she was a Vessalius.

After what Elliot said to him after he'd been kidnapped by the Baskervilles... It made his chest feel lighter than it ever had been. He felt like someone actually cared about him, and he knew it wasn't fair because a lot of people, Gilbert, his sister Ada, his uncle and Alice. He'd even grown to like Sharon, Break (It took a very long time) and even Reim. They all cared about him and they had proven it countless times. But what Elliot said to him, those simple words, had so much effect of him that it kind of scared him.

He hadn't actually confessed his feelings; It was more like he just flirted with Elliot and the man sometimes flirted back. He would say that was the extent of their relationship.

Maybe he was reading into it too closely. Maybe those times that Elliot flirted with him; maybe Elliot thought It was just harmless flirting, and he didn't really feel anything for the boy.

Oz sipped his tea with a distant look in his eyes, his elbow resting on a long table spreading through the hall, Sharon on the other side mirroring his actions; looking at him in concern.

"Oz-sama? Is something wrong?" Oz looked at her, and quickly plastered a smile. "No, Sharon-chan, just thinking,"

Sharon spent a few extra seconds watching him, and then said, "Is it about Elliot-sama?" A flicker of shock paralyzed Oz for a couple of seconds, clearly caught off guard that he was read that easily. A pink hue decorated his smooth cheeks, and seeing Sharon looking at him almost playfully, he knew he wasn't getting off too easily. "Haha... How did you know?" He asked nervously, scratching his cheek. Sharon smiled at him, "Expect nothing less from the mistress of romance!" She giggled, completely different from the elegant persona she put on when they first met. She then smiled at him again; but this time in a motherly way. Warm but not overwhelming.

"So, what's bothering you about Elliot-sama?" Oz remained quiet, his eyes distant once again. Sharon was surprised when he spoke after a while, a faint pink on his face. "I... I love Elliot..."

"But...?" Oz chuckled mirthlessly at Sharon's ability to read him. "But... I'm so much older than him, and I..."

Sharon stared at him expressionlessly. So that was what was bothering him. Personally, Sharon didn't see much of a problem with it, Oz was both mentally and physically 15, but she could see what was bothering him. If he was never sent to the Abyss, he'd be 25.

Sharon sighed. "Honestly, I believe that right thing to do, Oz-sama, would be to talk to Elliot-sama himself. I doubt anything I say will help you. But, I will say this," Sharon said as Oz looked expectantly at her, "don't sell yourself too short."

Oz looked at her in shock, a hint of fear evident in his emerald eyes. Fear of rejection, she knew. She chuckled inwardly. If only he knew... It was really funny, how he wasn't very afraid of huge, giant Chains, or the Baskervilles, but he was afraid of the rejection of his love even though it wasn't even unrequited.

Sharon placed her now empty teacup on a tiny decorated plate, resulting in a clicking noise, and stood up, holding the hem of her lavender dress. "Well, Oz-sama, I'll be leaving now. Please take the time to talk with Elliot-sama." She winked at him, looking awfully mischievous, before leaving the room echoing softly with her clicking heels.

Oz sighed, It was bound to happen sooner or later, he tried to tell himself, but even that couldn't stop the nervous butterflies in his stomach.

"Well, here goes nothing..."

The next day, Oz went up to Elliot and whispered in his ear that he wanted to talk to him in his room tonight. And he didn't miss as Elliot's ears became as Oz breathed into it. And for some reason, that made Oz much less nervous. Elliot's cheeks brightened as Oz was staring at him, and Oz couldn't help but think how tempting Elliot looked with his embarrassed red face; his pursed lips that Oz wanted to touch and-

Damnit.

(Are these teenage hormones catching up to him after 10 years?)

He bit his lip to prevent a playful smirk as he walked away trying to untie the knots that got tangled in his stomach.

Later that evening, Oz arrived at Elliot's room before Elliot since he had a meeting of some kind, so he entered and sat on Elliot's bed, trying to calm himself.

Elliot finished his meeting, and headed towards his room where Oz was waiting. He was actually quite nervous but thankfully talking to Leo beforehand helped a bit. He had told him what happened before Leo gave him a wink and wished him good luck. Whatever that meant. Sometimes he just couldn't understand his servant. But honestly, any words would've calmed him right now.

As he walked, he started thinking about Oz. How did he feel about him? He knew he liked him, but what was the extent of his love? Did he love him?

Unfortunately though, he reached his room before he could actually decide. He knocked twice before he entered. He saw Oz sitting on his bed, his slim legs (gulp) dangling from the side, his emerald eyes noticed Elliot, and Elliot could swear that they gleamed slightly at the sight of him. The room was only lighted by the dim glow of two candles sitting at Elliot's nightstand next to his bed. Elliot closed the door behind him as he sat next to Oz, waiting for him to speak. Realizing Oz was hesitant to speak after a pregnant silence, he began, "What did you want to talk about?" He said, not missing how Oz swallowed thickly. He didn't know whether that was a good sign or a bad one.

The blonde opened his mouth, before closing it again. Elliot was patient as Oz contemplated on how to say whatever he wanted to say; though interestingly, as Elliot stared at Oz's jewel-like eyes, he saw fear. Elliot didn't know fear of what... or who. Taking matters into his own hands, Elliot let his fingertips fall to softly caress Oz's smooth cheek, watching intently as Oz's face deepened in color and Elliot felt the warmth against his fingers.

The blonde looked shocked, his eyes wide. Though he didn't pull away. Instead he reached up to Elliot's hand against his cheek, and placed his warm palm on his, stroking Elliot's hand.

"Hey, Elliot?" Oz's voice was below a whisper, but Elliot caught the words as he was only a few inches away from Oz. "I love you." The confession was equally soft and quiet, but Elliot wouldn't have missed it any day. He was staring at Oz's lips as he said the words, so he couldn't have misheard it or imagined it. He felt his heart beating and quivering in excitement, but Oz's following words...

"But.. we can't be together," Elliot felt a bile rise in his throat but pushed it down. He missed how Oz's eyes gleamed with tears threatening to fall down his cheeks. Elliot couldn't stop the slight quiver in his voice when he talked and hoped Oz didn't notice. "Why?" He said, his voice below a whisper.

"Because I..." Oz bit his lip to stop incoming tears, "..am much older than you. A-After I fell into the Abyss, I spent 10 years there."

"..Yes. Gilbert told me," Oz chuckled mirthlessly. "Great. You probably hate me more now,"

"I don't hate you!" Elliot said it louder than he intended, and as Oz's eyes widened, Elliot brought his lips to Oz's ear. "I-I love you too." He whispered it, only intending for Oz to hear it, and no one else. These words belonged to Oz only. Oz stared at him in shock as Elliot retreated his lips, before breaking into a sad smile. "I love you too. But we still can't be together." He paused for a second, clearly the words pained him as much as Elliot."I just.. don't want you to do something you'd regret."

Elliot clenched his teeth and fisted his palm, his fingernails digging into the skin. He was furious; that Oz would ever think that Elliot would actually regret loving him and being with him. He thought so lowly of himself. He couldn't see how precious he was. It was heartbreaking. Elliot grabbed Oz's two arms, firmly but not roughly, not missing how Oz stared at him in confusion, until Elliot pinned him on the bed's soft mattress. And Elliot did the thing that he wanted to do to Oz since so long.

He kissed him.

He brought Oz's soft lips, gently (he didn't want to scare him) together with his. Oz was too much in shock until he realized what was happening. Elliot chuckled inwardly as Oz's face brightened, but not too much. He slid his arm around Oz's waist, embracing him closely as he kissed him. Their bodies were flushed together that Oz could hear Elliot's thumping heartbeat, and knew that Elliot could hear his.

Elliot was surprised but elated when Oz closed his eyes, running his fingers softly through Elliot's beige hair, Oz's face getting more red by the second. Oz was shocked himself, and at the very very back of his head, he kept telling himself that this was wrong and they would regret it, but the irrational part of Oz seemed to win.

Elliot took that as an approval, as he gently ran his tongue over Oz's bottom lip. Oz snapped open his eyes as he felt Elliot's hot tongue, and instinctively allowed Elliot to deepen the kiss. Elliot smirked as he completely dominated Oz's lips, as It usually was the opposite.

Oz was always the one to take the first step, dragging others behind him. He was always the one to shamelessly flirt with Elliot, often (with absolutely no embarrassment!) calling him handsome or beautiful and chuckling mischievously as Elliot turned into a hot, blushing mess.

(A/N: Sorry to interrupt, but this is not smut/lemon. This is gonna end very soon with their clothes on (at least Elliot *wink wink*). I'm 12 for the love of god! Sorry for the disappointment).

Oz, completely comsumed by the kiss, didn't even notice as Elliot undid the first three buttons of his shirt, exposing enough skin for him to nip at later. Elliot seperated his mouth from Oz's, and made his way towards Oz's throat, placing his lips there as he gently sucked on Oz's pulse. Oz's response was immediate as he moaned softly. Oz felt his legs turn into jelly and knew that if he were standing up, he would've fallen to the ground by now.

Elliot started trailing chaste kisses down his jawline, occasionally sucking and nipping at Oz's skin, causing Oz to start panting uncontrollably. As he left more than a couple of red marks, he took the time to sweep his tongue at each and every red mark, giving close attention to each one. He absolutely loved how Oz would whimper and moan at his every touch. He loved the effect he was having on the blonde. As he felt himself losing control, he decided to stop otherwise he would have probably taken it too far. Giving Oz one more mark and another passionate kiss, he decided that he really really needed to stop now.

Planting one last (he told himself) chaste kiss on Oz's now swollen (and heavenly beautiful) lips, he rested his forehead on the blushing Oz, both panting as their breaths mingled together. Elliot smirked mischievously, looking like the most handsome devil. "This is revenge for all the teasing," He said with glee. Oz glared at him but with no hostile intent. "All this for revenge? You took it too far," Elliot smirked again, eyes twinkling with boundless love as he laid his body against Oz's, moving his lips to Oz's ear, and whispering seductively, "Well not just for revenge," He softly grazed Oz's ear with his teeth, causing Oz to whimper in pleasure not so subtly.

Oz shivered at his tone, for the first time seeing this side of Elliot. They stayed in their embrace for a long time; Oz couldn't tell if they were hours or minutes, and as Elliot's hot breath caressed his neck, he found that he really didn't care. After a long while, Oz said in a quiet voice. "Elliot,"

"Mhm?"

"I should probably get back. Gil's probably looking for me."

"...No." Elliot said with an obvious stubborness in his tone. "Because... this is the last time we're going to be like this," Elliot fought a bile that rose up in his throat. "I mean, you wouldn't want Gilbert to see these, right?" He chuckled mirthlessly, softly touching the red marks he had made in an attempt to lighten the mood.

Oz looked at him in sadness. He would've blushed any other day but... This is for the best, he tried to tell himself, but then...

Why did it feel so wrong?

Right now, as Elliot held him close; this felt right. So right, god.

"Hey Oz?" Elliot muttered as he rested his forehead once again at Oz's. "Hmm?"

"Will you wait for me?" Oz looked at him in confusion. "U-Until I become an adult, will you wait for me?" Oz's bottom lip quivered. God. This was so unfair, he thought as he felt the hot tears rolling down his cheek. Life was too unfair.

"I can't, Elliot," Oz choked out, "By then, I'll already be..." In the Abyss. Those words were left unsaid but Elliot clearly understood. "No, you won't." Elliot looked at him with so much determination that he almost believed it. Almost. "You'll find a way. Like you always do.

"And I won't let the Abyss take you." Elliot continued. "Do you trust me?" Oz smiled even as tears were dripping from his eyes. "Of course."

"I'll wait for you, Elliot. Forever."

{Four Years Later}

It wasn't that Elliot was nervous, it was that he was so nervous, words couldn't describe how nervous he was. Wow, thinking about how nervous I am makes me more nervous. He hadn't seen Oz in 4 years, and many things had changed. He had changed.

He stared at the door of Oz's house as if it were both his greatest ally as well as his greatest enemy. He sucked in a breath, and exhaled. Softly knocking on the wooden door, he held his breath as he faintly heard sounds from the inside, including a soft meow from presumably a cat, Gilbert must not come here a lot, he thought.

He couldn't do anything as the door opened and he was suddenly pulled inside, the door closing behind him. Before he could do anything, he was pinned against the wall by an emerald-eyed blonde, who had grown to the same height as Elliot. Elliot took a moment to stare at Oz's face, and his breath was caught in his throat. Oz's mischievous emerald eyes had grown even brighter somehow and made him look even more gorgeous. His short blonde hair reached just above his neck, looking so smooth and soft. His cheeks had lost all of their baby fat; if he had looked heavenly cute 4 years ago, right now he was just so gorgeous, so hot it was inhuman.

"Elliot," He breathed, shocking Elliot in remembering how close their bodies were flushed together, and he could feel his face reddening and getting warm. "I missed you," Oz whispered, and Elliot managed to find his voice, "M-Me too.." Oz chuckled slightly, and Elliot felt himself getting hotter. Oz brought his face even closer, to the point that their lips were brushing, but not kissing. Elliot rolled his eyes, and mumbled audibly, "Such a tease," before crushing their lips together.

He tasted amazingly sweet; just like four years ago.

Author's Note: I'll leave the rest to your surely creative imagination~ In my mind, they didn't have sex though... Just making out then, you know, reconnecting and talking and other romantic stuff. Sex isn't romantic! ^^ Anyway, please drop a simple review, a couple of words are OK. Please tell me if any of the characters are OOC.

I honestly wasn't sure if I was going to do that last part, but then I was like "The readers deserve to see that they got together in the end," so yeah...
