We Will Never Forget
Kim Possible held Ron's hand as they stood on Ground Zero. They were dressed for today and hand flowers in hand. Kim glanced back at the people around them. Her mom and dad stood with uncle Slim and Joss and the twins. All her friends from school, Monique, Tara, the rest of the squad even Bonnie was with her boyfriend Senor Senior Junior and his father Senor Senior, Senior. Barkin stood in his uniform to pay his respects. Wade stood with his mom and nearly everyone who she help and gave her rides came today. Dr. Betty Director stood in uniform to pay respect to their men. Even Shego and Drakken made it, flower in hand, showing that even villains respected those who died today.
She remembered this day. She was in school when the attack happened. She heard what had happen and could not believe it. She remembers hearing all those people dying and even the towers falling with everyone inside. She was a hero only a short amount of time and on this day she felt more like a failure then she ever did.
She nearly quite being a hero thinking, if she was a hero then why did this happen? She was talked out of it and was determined to be a hero so nothing like this will ever happen again. She learned later that not even Global Justice had predicted the attack one September eleventh. She talked with Wade and they agreed to watch for something and make sure it never happens again.
She knew the villain had nothing to do with this. Even the attack was too much for them. She felt Ron squeeze her hand. "It's okay Kim; I'm here for you."
Kim smiled, "Thanks Ron, I can always count on you."
One by one they walked up and placed their flower for those who died that day. Kim walked up placing her flowers. She let the tears fall from her eyes not caring if anyone saw. "Rest in peace everyone. You help save our world so we can stop up and do it for the next generation. But no matter what…We will never forget."
This is for all of the brave men and women who braved the towers, who died to try and save everyone. To the people who were affected the most, and to every American so that on this day we will remember those who have fallen, those who have sacrificed for us, and to protect everyone. May they all rest in peace and May We Never Forget.
