Yeah, I'm back for a little while. I've been concentrating on my art recently, and consequently have been neglecting my writing. That's kinda why I'm pulling up some old stuff to post.
Author's Notes:
I've had problems with a particular sin in my life, and so I attempted an accountability calendar. It kinda worked, and I recommend the practice to anyone who is trying to get rid of something in their life. E-mail or PM me if you want more info on how it works.
This poem was a reminder to me of why I had a grid of blue and red squares on my wall. Written July 3, 2005.
Calendar
Markings.
Markings on my wall,
They are testimony to my every fall.
Blue for grace,
And red for sin.
When a year comes 'round
They'll be filled in.
Twelve columns,
Twelve months,
And thirty-one days.
Until, at last,
My hand does stay.
Blue must conquer red,
This is my hope.
But for now,
In darkness, I do grope.
My lord, my God,
Wash me pure,
For I alone have no cure.
Blue for grace,
And red for sin.
When a year comes 'round
They'll be filled in.
A/N: Thak you for taking the time to read this. Read if you like, I won't know if you don't.
