She knew he loved her.
Somewhere, she was aware that he loved her, but his actions betrayed him. And as Rogue watched Bobby lie his lips on Kitty Pryde, her heart twisted. She couldn't, wouldn't ever understand the act of cheating on a loved one. She couldn't do it; she couldn't hurt someone in such a way.
But Bobby was. He was hurting her, and all she could do was watch. And what could she do after? Break up with him? Then he'd simply date Kitty. He had a backup. But what would be left for her? A broken heart, and more years alone, without love.
No, she wouldn't leave him. Despite his cheating, even if it proceeded to happen, she'd simply stand by his side, pretending to be ignorant, pretending he loved her enough to wait for her, to wait until they could find a way.
She'd cry, oh sure, but she'd have someone, even if he was having himself a fling. What other option did she have?
