A/N: Okay sorry about this, but I just have to get some things off my chest.
People say that Lucas and Riley are too alike to be a couple. What people don't realize is that Maya and Lucas are just as much alike; Lucas has anger issues and a rebellious side as well. He claimed in Texas, that if it weren't for Riley, he wouldn't have made it in New York. Therefore, if Riley did not exist, Maya would be wild, and influence Lucas to be the same way he was when he first lived in Texas.
Second: Maya's identity crisis. It has been long coming, and I'm pretty sure we have all noticed the shift where Maya began to act and dress like Riley. She told us in previous episodes (season one) that she didn't like Lucas, (for example; first date), and we were under the impression that Lucas didn't like her either. When Maya began to act and dress like Riley, that is when her and Lucas began exploring their relationship. Maybe Maya lied, and Lucas returns the feelings… But everyone is out and about throwing a fit because they are already worried about who will be endgame and such. Y'all need to chill and let the relationships take their course.
Kind of last: Season 3. I have been exploring Tumblr (like usual), and notice that fans are going kind of crazy, saying that Lucas chooses Riley first, because everyone is telling him to, but then changes his mind and goes to Maya. Several things… At the end of Girl Meets Triangle, Lucas has made up his mind. This is obviously his first choice, and we were left off at a cliffhanger. Assuming that he does say Riley, no one has told him to. We only know what we see, and as far as we know, Lucas has not talked to anyone else about who to choose (other than Farkle and Zay), so don't go blogging and telling the internet that others influenced his decision, because clearly, they do not. The writers have tweeted that Riley, Maya, and Lucas all find a relationship in Ski Lodge. Now by this time, we can infer that Lucas will have told everyone his choice, (he has already changed his mind) so Lucas and Maya will be together. Where is Riley now? She can't end up with Josh, because incest much? Farkle is with Smackle, and Charlie is completely out of the picture.
I don't have a set ship, because I just want the characters to be happy. I don't care if Lucaya happens, or Rucas, or Riarkle, or Joshaya… I just wanted everyone to understand this, because most fans are being immature and stupid. Regardless of ship, we should watch the show because of friendship and the work that the cast and crew put into this show. They try so hard to please the viewers, but either way, some fans are going to be unhappy with the result.
