Carnation

A pink hedgehog awoke from a dreamless night. She happily hopped out of bed, and opened her curtains. Sunlight poured into her room, as she opened the curtain. Her emerald eyes observed the outside life. She saw random people walking on the sidewalk, some squirrels in the tree near her window; speedy cars drove through the busy Manhattan streets.

"It's going to be a beautiful day today." Amy mused to herself when she stepped away from the window.

"I wonder what Sonic's doing?" Amy asked herself when she stepped into her closet and chose her regular red dress.

She slipped off her white night gown, and slipped on her dress. She spotted her boots, and then she put them on also. She combed her fingers through her pink quills. She looked decent; it was all right with her. She just hoped that Sonic liked how she looked also.

She walked out of her room, and went straight for the door so that she can find Sonic. She opened the heavy door and took a dainty step out. However, before she took another step, something pink was on her floor mat. She bent down and picked it up. It was a flower, she thought it was a rose, but it didn't have any thorns. So it was a Carnation.

Oh, how she loved Carnations. There was a note attached to the Carnation. Her delicate fingers plucked the letter off of her flower.

Do you know how much you mean to me?

Do you know how much I love you?

Do you know how much I want to be with you?

Do you know that every time you're near, everyone seems far away?

Do you know where I am?

If you don't, then turn around…

Even though it was a corny note, she couldn't be happier. She remembered the note though she slowly turned around. She felt herself squeal with joy when she saw Sonic leaning against her door frame. He winked at her; he had a big ego, even though there was blush found on his face.
