A/N: This is my Transfiguration essay for a Hogwarts Rpg, and I just thought I'd post it. It's really short and doesn't really have a purpose. The assignment was to create a story with a Boggart.

Just for a back round if you want: My character is from a pureblood family, but since her sister is a squib her family is very into muggle things, so as to support her sister.

Disclaimer: I don't own HP or Pan's Labyrinth, I just used the HP world and creatures, and the Pale Man from Pan's Labyrinth.

So... Enjoy!

As I walked down the hallway, rushing to get back to the dormitories, I turned a corner and faced a dark area, glancing back around to figure out my wrong turn I felt my stomach drop when something moved within the shadows before exiting it. The shape that exited the shadows made my heart stop in fear. Sweeping out of the shadows was a small body which stopped and stared at me for a moment before shuddering and changed its shape. It's arms and legs lengthened and it's skin grew darker before taking the full shape of a man. I knew the man and it made my body seize up with fear. It was the Pale Man and he stared at me with his eyes in his hands. I stepped back in a short spike of adrenaline, my mind racing at the thought of him being there. He wasn't… he couldn't be there. He… he was just that thing from this muggle movie I had seen when I was younger, El Laberinto del Fauno . He was a skinny, shambling man, with no place for his eyes on his face, only slits for him to place them in on his palms. He was known as a child eater, and had frightened me ever since I saw the movie. But he couldn't be real, I had never heard of him actually existing. As he crookedly walked towards me my mind raced through the possibilities of how he was here. There were only a few possibilities I could come up with in a few seconds. That he actually did exist, that I had gone crazy or that I was sleeping. But then I had thought of the talks we had had in transfiguration about boggarts and their transformations. That HAD to be it! I backed further away and tried to think of something funny to do to him… But as nothing came to mind he came closer. Backing further and further away and idea popped in my head. Boggarts hated light, and we had just learned a new spell in charms that gave off light.

"Lumos solem!" I screamed and did not stay to watch the boggart shrivel back into it's original form and shrink back into the shadows before running as fast as I could back into the more populated sections of the castle.
