AN: This is my first fanfic so don't judge too harshly x3

I don't own anything except the story

Juvia Fullbuster cuddled up on the white sofa with her husband, Gray. They watched their just-turned-2 year old daughter ((it was her birthday)), Sunny, play with blocks. Juvia looked up into Gray's eyes and whispered, "I wanna start by letting you know this. Because of you, my life has a purpose. You helped me be who I am today. I see myself in every word you say." Gray gasped lightly as she continued, "I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you."

FLASHBACK

A 10 year old Juvia ran into her small, blue bedroom, sobbing, "It's not Juvia's fault, she can't stop the rain!" She could hear her father screaming over the torrential downpour outside, "You're so depressing! I can barely stand you anymore!" It only rained harder. Juvia cried to herself all night. When she ran out of tears, she muttered, "Sometimes it feels like nobody gets me, I'm trapped in a world where everyone hates me." She squeezed one of her teru teru bozu dolls close and fell asleep.

Later on, Juvia was at the stove cooking dinner. She pulled up her sleeves to avoid stains, and when she saw her wrists, she almost cried at the sight of her old self-harm scars. Gray walked up behind her, wrapped his arm around her waist, and placed his head on her shoulder.

"Gray-sama! I need to get dinner ready for the Fernandeses and Dragneels! Sunny's birthday party starts in two hours!" She giggled and playfully swatted him away. As he went back into the living room, she called out, "You always know how to make me feel better."

FLASHBACK

Gray walked out of Magnolia High School on the last day of his sophomore year. The 17 year old noticed a girl walking alone in the mob of rowdy teenagers leaving school. He jogged over to her, and saw that her deep blue eyes were clouded with depression. He greeted to her, and the dark clouds that had been threatening to let loose with a storm dispersed.

"Hi, to Juvia, or..." the girl glanced around her, but all the other teens had left the schoolyard to go home.

"Yeah. Hi, Juvia, I'm guessing, I'm Gray. Are you alright?"

"No..." Gray looked at her expectantly, so she continued, "Juvia's family kicked her out so she's living with her cousin, everyone hates her, and nobody even cares," she whispered.

"I care, because no one should ever feel like that." Gray scribbled something on a piece of paper from his backpack, "Here, call me or text me whenever."

For the first time in 10 years, Juvia Lockser smiled.

The doorbell rang at 5:30 pm. Gray and Juvia opened the door and greeted their friends, Natsu and Lucy Dragneel, and their 7 year old son, Ig. Ig ran to play with Sunny while the four adults settled down on the couch, and before long, Natsu and Gray were arguing, their wives desperately trying to calm them down. The doorbell stopped their argument, and Gray darted over to the door. Erza and Jellal Fernandes walked in, joining the others on the couch. Juvia latched onto Gray when he sat down and announced, "You'll never know what it means to me, that I'm not alone, and I'll never have to be."
