Kai couldn't believe it. He was a rat no matter what she wanted her mind to think. And all she did was put her arms around him. It was strange and shocking, but felt oddly familiar.

"Kai?" the rat turned around to look at her.

"Is this the reason why?" she spat out of her mouth. "You didn't want me to find out?"

"It's more complicated than that!" he tried to explain.

"Is this the darkness I was trying to save you from?" tears fell down her porcelain face.

"I can't," the rat re-adverted his eyes away from Kai. "And it's not that I hate you..."

"Then what is it Yuki Sohma!" Kai interrupted. "All I wanted to do was save what I could of you!"

"I love you Kai," Yuki made eye contact with her again.

Those four little words pushed her to her limit. Kai turned swiftly on the spot and ran out of the room, her tears streaking down from her hazel eyes.

Yuki looked down on the ground Kai just stood on. Hatori won't be pleased to erase her mind once again. It scarred Yuki to know that he was the cause for her pain. No matter how many times her memory was wiped, Kai just seemed to fall for him over and over again. And along the way, Yuki fell for her too. It was a never ending cycle. Because of this curse, his savior and love had to constantly be pushed away.
