Esme's POV

I couldn't of asked for a better husband then my lovely carlise he has been so busy with Bella and the baby that he hasn't done anything else. I knew getting him out the house for a bit was what he really needed right now.

"Esme, darling where are we going we shouldn't be to far from the house encase im needed".

"Carlisle , you have been working so hard lately you really need a break if they need us they will call us ok please just try and relax."

Although it was horrible for me to think this but I felt neglected by my husband these few weeks, he has hardly even spoken to me and even though I said this break was for him really it was for both of us.

I love Bella as the daughter she always was to me and now I love my grand-daughter so much I knew it was selfish of me to bring Carlisle with me but I had a feeling all the drama wasn't over yet so I took a chance while everything seem to quieten down a but to have a few minutes with my husband.

"Im sorry" I turned round to see Carlisle looking at the ground with a sadness in his face.

"What ever for Carlisle?"

"For these past few weeks, they couldn't of been easy on you what with a baby around and me reflecting you, its just been one thing after another lately"

"Carlisle look at me"

I spoke sternly and he raised his head slowly from the muddy ground to my eyes.

" now you listen to me, what you have done for this family has been remarkable ok and I am so proved of you words cannot even describe how o feel right now. When I was first turn and told you about my human life you said that one day we would have a family and I never thought that would be possible but of Corse it was naive of me to not believe you because right now I have such a wonderful family with the best husband I could ask for. Carlisle yes im not going to lie ok yes I did feel a little neglected by you but I totally understand I do completely I just thought that we need some peace and quit for a while, no drama just me and you."

Carlisle's eye looked like he would have been crying if he was human.

" Esme you are so understanding how do I deserve someone you, I love you"

"I love you to Carlisle always and forever"

We laid there for a few minutes in complete silence just looking up at the stars

"Carlisle" I said nervously

"Yes darling"

"is everything going to be ok, it hurts to see my children in pain like you said it just been one thing after another will it ever stop, will are family ever be safe and at peace from harm"

"I don't know esme but whatever happens we will still be united as a family and all keep each other safe"

"Im glad you changed me Carlisle"

The look on his face was complete shock although I have told him this before he always though I was just says it to make him feel less guilty but I knew he could tell by the way I said it that he completely believed me.

"Esme…I….I uh.. I don't know what to say… thank you that means so much to me"

" I don't think I ever hated you for changing me my human life wasn't that good and compared to the hell this life I have now is like heaven I have everything I ever wanted and more , a loving husband, wonderful children, and now a beautiful gran-child its everything I wounded and more and its all thanks to you"

We kissed passionately until it started to rain

"lets go back home darling" he held his hand out for me and I took it and rubbed it smoothly.
