It was her birthday and Sam was having a bad day. Well worse than usual. So far there was no ghosts which was good, but surprisingly there was no Danny either. And Tucker wasn't helping. He knew something she didn't and he wouldn't spill.

She had been surprised when Danny didn't show up for lunch. There was only five minutes left and she was starting to get worried. Danny's a big boy, Sam thought, He can handle himself. There's nothing to worry about. She sighed as the bell rang. At least there was two more classes until she got to go home.

Sam walked home alone. Usually she'd walk with Tucker and Danny, but now the both of them l had disappeared. She tried not to think about it. Danny probably just got sick and left school early. And Tucker's probably over at his house trying to help him feel better. She paused before walking into her house. Maybe she should go over and make sure he's alright. She debated with herself for a moment before deciding to go over. She closed the door again and headed to Danny's house.

She knocked on the Fenton's door and Jack Fenton opened it. "Hey Sam! What can I do for you?" he said.

"Hey Mr. Fenton. Is Danny home?" Sam asked.

"No he's not."

"Oh okay. Well see ya." Sam said heading back to her house. She was now completely worried. She tried to think of where he could of gone. Her thoughts dissolved when she saw Danny standing outside her house. She went up to him and slapped his arm. "What the heck Danny?! Where have you been?!"

He rubbed his arm. "Ow! Sam that hurt!"

"You didn't answer my question!"

"I have a surprise for you. Close your eyes," he said going ghost. She did what he told her to. He wrapped his arms around Sam's waist from behind and took to the sky. It felt like ages, to Sam, before they landed again.

"Open your eyes," Danny whispered in her ear. She did so and grasped at what was in front of her. A table was set up under a tree with a candle and two plates. It was all on a hill that overlooked the city. "Happy birthday, Sam," Danny whispered in her ear again. They sat and ate the sandwiches Danny had brought while telling jokes.

Danny now sat on the table in front of Sam still telling jokes as she ate another sandwich. "Thank you, Danny. This is the best birthday ever," Sam said.

"No problem babe," he replied.

"Babe?" questioned Sam.

"You are my girlfriend aren't you?"

Sam blushed, "I don't know. Am I?" With that Danny pressed his lips to hers. She was shocked, but after a moment kissed back.

Danny flew Sam home and kissed her again. "Goodnight Sam."

"Goodnight Danny. And thanks again." She turned to go inside.

"And Sam?"

"Yes?"

"I love you..."

Sam smiled, "I love you too Danny." He beamed and waved before walking to his house. Sam walked inside. Best day ever.
