The Keeper
Prologue
"Papa, where's mama?"
"She's going on a trip. I'll be joining her shortly."
"But...what about me?"
"You'll..." here, the young girl's father hesitated. "You'll be staying with a family that mama and I know."
"Okay. How long will you be gone?"
"I cannot tell you, because I do not know myself. I can tell you only this: when you find us, you will have met the one you'll be with for eternity and will have helped save the world."
"What?"
"One day you will understand. We must go, your...caretakers are wating for you."
Before leaving his daughter, he knelt and hugged her one last time, whispering in her ear, "Never forget who you are, Namikaze-Uchiha Lananiel...my daughter."
Gently setting her down, Namikaze Minato then teleported away.
Chapter One-14 years later
"Mom!"
"Yes?"
"Where's my duffel?"
"It should be in your closet! Or under your bed!"
"(scoff) Thanks! For nothing," Lana muttered under her breath, walking to her closet and seeing the hunted down duffel lying on top of her shoes. "There you are, you little rascal! Now to finish packing..."
She quickly finished packing...mainly by stuffing her clothes in any which way, along with all her blank notebooks and craft supplies that wouldn't be allowed on the plane.
"Thank God they allow crochet hooks and knitting needles," she muttered under her breath as she packed her carry-on bags. After making sure she had remembered her all important pillow, blanket, crocheting, knitting, and the books she was bringing that weren't pack in her duffel, she then remembered her Duel Monster cards that she had hidden, and quickly packed them as well.
