Last story of the VK Confessions series... Doubt anyone is going to miss is *sweat drop*
But now I'm taking requests and considering going beta. I have one other story to go up and one on its way.

Ruka walked quietly across the school grounds, being careful to stay in the shadows. Ruka froze when she heard a branch break under her feet.

'Crap… Did anyone hear?' thought Ruka, starting to walk slowly. 'Seems no one did.'

Ruka stopped, again, when she heard footsteps behind her. She jumped when she felt someone wrap their arms around her; blushing when she felt the person behind her nuzzle her neck.

"Zero-kun… What are you doing?" asked Ruka, recognizing his scent.

"I could say the same to you." said Zero, kissing Ruka on the cheek.

"I can't sleep.. So I went for a walk." said Ruka pulling out of Zero's arms and turning around to face him.

"Ruka… I know for a fact that, that is a lie. You've never had trouble sleeping." said Zero picking Ruka up and sitting down on a tree stump, Ruka on his lap.

"Okay… So maybe I missed you and wanted to find you and spend time with you." said Ruka, wrapping her arms around Zero's neck.

"I missed you too." said Zero. "You're lucky I found you and Yagari-sensei didn't."

"That's true. God knows he'd kill me on the spot or turn me in." said Ruka.

"Yeah… And that wouldn't be good." said Zero.

"Yeah, I know." said Ruka.

"I don't know what I'd do if you died." said Zero wrapping his arms around Ruka and pressing a kiss to her cheek.

"Speaking of which… Zero… The Vampire Council want me to go on this assignment." said Ruka. "And there's a chance I could die."

"Ruka… You're not thinking of taking it are you?" asked Zero.

"I may have no choice but to." said Ruka, pulling back from Zero. "If I turn down the council they may force me to take it."

"When is it?" asked Zero, hugging Ruka close to him again.

"Tomorrow… I leave tonight in about an hour." said Ruka, frowning.

"Don't go." said Zero, grabbing Ruka's hand when she stood up to leave.

"I have to." said Ruka.

Zero walked Ruka back to the Moon Dorm. He grabbed her around the waist and pulled her back to him, kissing her before he let her go.

"Please be careful." said Zero.

"I'll try." said Ruka before going into the Moon Dorm.

'I love you…' thought Zero, watching disdainfully as Ruka closed the door to the Moon Dorm behind her.

"The three words… I could never say aloud." said Zero before walking back to his dorm.
