Its true what they say, one moment in your life, no matter how small, can change everything. Be it turning a door knob, or turning away. Be it making a phone call, or making a happy day. No matter the moment, the time, the place, or the circumstance, this one moment, will change your life, permanently.
And this was Poppy's moment.
With two dilemma's stood before her, she had to choose. Turn the door handle and enter the house, or turn back to Ricky and live in ignorance.
Her sweaty palm was grasped tightly on the handle, and before she knew it, she was turning it in a clockwise direction. Click. The life changing moment had happened. No going back now. The very moment that door opened, she knew nothing would be the same. This was her future now, and this was the burden she had to live with.
Poppy's already weak heart was now faster than ever before, the view in front of her, it was like something only horror movies and nightmares could portray. This kind of thing didn't happen in real life! Not in Poppy's life...
Sure, her life was no walk in the park, but, this, this wasn't natural.
"W-what..." Poppy couldn't even speak. It was a struggle to even utter that.
"Poppy? I...This isn't what it looks like!" Alex stuttered, he had no way to explain the scene that lay before himself, his sister and brother in law.
This was the moment, her whole life changed.
