A/N- This is my first attempt at writing a fan fiction so any improvements you can suggest to me is greatly appreciated.

Chapter 1

"This stops here. Last warning." Said the Doctor, his strong eyebrows frowning down at the creature before him.

"Negative. The harvest will continue. The humans will be upgraded, you have no way to stop us." The Cyberleader looked up from his console to see the Doctor restrained to his chair. Reassured he could not escape.

The Doctor noticed the room was cold. Looking for anything to, "Very efficient." He muttered under his breath. I medium sized room that has a diameter of 12foot. The walls were covered in screens and data banks. The heat coming from those machines was quite extraordinary. The displays were covered with the locations of every Cyberman in the entire universe.

"You know they will always defeat you, you know? The human race will always survive. ALWAYS. You can't stop them from constantly finding new ways to thwart you. Not to mention the fact that good will always overcome evil." The Doctor was trying to delay the Cyber controller, he was only moments away from giving the command for the cyber forces to teleport down to the Earth and start to take people to be upgraded.

There was no answer to the Doctors futile arguments. The Controller activated the communications; "All Cyber units: prepare for the-"

"Ohhh." The Doctor scoffed, in the background as a light wind started to pick up in the control deck. A low level 'vworp' sound could be heard in the air. The Cybercontroller turned and towered over the Doctor "Explain what is happening, what is this disturbance." Avoiding the question the Doctor said" Are you aware of what biding your time is, Cyber controller? This. This is what happens when you bide your time successfully, people work things out and do you know what happens then?" There was a pause, both of them staring down at each other as if waiting for one to respond. "I win."

The wind that was building up in the control room increased as there was a wheezing, groaning. A smile appeared on the Doctors face, his confidence brewing and bubbling over. The sound increased and what appeared in front of the Cyber controller caused him to move over the communications console and rant orders in a tone of voice which could be interpreted as fear. "All Cyber units, prepare to engage intruders, enable all internal security systems. Seal all levels. They must not escape."

The blue box materialised with a thud. The great bold mass stood in the centre of the control room. The door swung open to reveal the head of the Doctors rescue. It was Clara, looking stressed, her shoulder length hair was slightly frizzed up. She had a look that could stun the most evil of creatures; the Doctor was unaffected. "Your TARDIS doesn't like me one bit." "Nonsense! She got you here didn't she?" "Not without a long argument first…"

"Anyway." He shifted his eyes towards the Cyber leader. "Hmm? Oh, right. Imminent alien invasion." Said Clara. The Cyber leaders head twitched towards Clara. "You are human, you will be of use to the Cyber Empire. Your experiences will be integrated into the Cyber network and used to our advantage."

Moving from behind the console, the Cyber controller advanced on Clara. Her eyes widened as she was forced further and further back of the room. Closer and closer to the Doctor. Even though his best efforts to find a way to free himself he was missing the obvious: Clara was holding the key to all of this.
