What's up guys! I have returned! Man the last time I posted was in 2015, heh.

Kenshin: Otaku-chan, you traitor.

Kaoru: -sigh- Leaving us all alone for so long.

Guys? Wait...I-I didn't mean it! I didn't leave you on purpose! -on knees reaching hand out- Don't leave me!

Yahiko: Who knew Otaku-chan would torture us for so long and then just throw us away like that.

It wasn't like that! I have to do real life things too...and that cursed writer's block won't leave my brain alone! But, I came back. Love me! -grabs Kenshin's leg-

Kenshin: -sigh- We already know you're going to write this fanfiction and then disappear again.

But-but, I've been messing around in the private messaging with some people, I j-just haven't written a fanfiction is all! Kenshin! ...Dang it. Well, I am here so I might as well make something so people don't think I am dead.

Sanosuke: Too late.

Shut up! Ugh. Without further ado here is my first, super short fanfiction in like 2 years, woooo.

Kenji cheered as his father, Kenshin, flung him into the air and onto his shoulders. Kenshin smiled as Kenji waved his arms in the air in excitement. "Are you having fun?" Kenshin asks. "Yeah! Yeah! Go daddy, go!" Kenji yelled.

"Alright, hold on tight!" Kenshin says confidently as Kenji wraps his little arms around Kenshin's neck. Both boys laugh as Kenshin runs around the dojo yard holding Kenji's legs. "Yaaaay! Faster! Faster!" Kenji laughs.

-skip a few years-

"Come on daddy! Hurry!" Kenji calls back as he runs further away from his parents. "Be careful, Kenji!" Kaoru orders. Kenshin smiles at his beautiful wife and laughs. "It'll be fine, he's just excited." He comforts. "I know, but he can be quite reckless if we don't watch over him." Kenshin looks away and smirks, whispering, "I wonder where he got that from..."

Kaoru cuts her eyes at him. "Care to say that again, dar-LING?" She asks, an annoyed look on her face. "Nothing dear." he jokes as he runs after his son to save himself from being hit. He quickly catches up to Kenji and sweeps him up, causing Kenji to scream in surprise. "Kenshin, get back here!" Kaoru calls. Kenshin laughs and whispers to his son, "Should we make a run for it?" Kenji's eyes sparkle in anticipation. "Yeah!" Kenshin's smile widens as he quickens his pace, Kaoru quickly catching up to them. "Just wait until I get my hands on you boys!" she yells in fake anger.

-to the present - kenji is a teen now-

Kenshin sits on the porch of the dojo watching Kenji practice his regular routine with his bokken alongside Yahiko. "Fifty-six! Fifty-seven! Fifty-eight!" they both yell in unison, swinging their bokken on each number. Kenshin sighs, "He's really changed."

Kenji peaks over at his father, who is staring intently at both of them. "What's with dad's melancholy stare?" he asks Yahiko. "Who knows, he's probably spacing out again." Yahiko answers, stopping to catch his breath. "This should be a good place to stop for lunch." He says as he walks inside to put his bokken away. Kenji takes this opportunity to go towards his father.

"Yo dad, what's with the stares?" he asks. "Huh? Oh, no reason. It looks like you're really improving, Kenji. I'm proud." Kenshin says. "Yeah, yeah. When's lunch gonna be ready?" Kenji asks, half listening to his dad. Kenshin sighs, "In about half an hour. Go take a bath, you know how your mother is." Kenshin informs Kenji. Kenji rolls his eyes and walks away. "Uh-huh, on it."

Kenshin sighs in disappointment, "If only he was as happy and energetic as he used to be. He's really changed."

Aaaaand there ya go. Super simple. Probably sucks. But, I did it! I literally came up with this is 2 minutes and wrote it down, so yeah.

Bye Bye for now...
