Hijikata was 10 years old when he was adopted by Kondo and met his new younger brother, he got nervous when he first saw the other and just bowed slightly to him without a word. The two grew close over the years although they never showed it to each other let alone anyone else. During the younger males first dance in high school Hijikata had noticed that he was alone so he offered him a hand and they danced all night, ending it when they shared their first kiss.
At Soji's graduation Hijikata got on his knees in front of everyone and proposed to him. Just after both of them had finished college they got married and danced again at their wedding, with their eyes closed and their foreheads pressed against the others they continued to dance around as the music played and slowly stopped when it was over. Opening their eyes the two men just stood their for a moment and looked into each others eyes before meeting the others lips for a gentle kiss.
"You look so beautiful in white."
He said as he opened his eyes and pulled away slightly while looking at the younger males white suit.
About a year later they decided to have children and adopted one while using a surrogate for the other. As their second child was born they were in the delivery room and smiled as they watched as a tiny girl came into the world with the younger males eyes..
When she was in her second year of high school Misaki brought home her first boyfriend for dinner one day and Hijikata just glared at him. While they were eating Sochin nudged him and pointed out how happy the young man seemed to make their daughter. Relaxing a bit the elder male smiled and sighed as he finished before cleaning up as the others talked in the living room.
After high school the two decided to get married, they had a small wedding in a nearby chapel. Hijikata had his daughters arm through his while he walked her down the aisle, as they reached the front she kissed him on the cheek just before he reluctantly let go of her and joined the couples hands together, bowing to them as he stepped to the side where his husband stood. Soji smiled and held the others hand as he brought it to his lips and placed a kiss on the mans fingers, telling him that she'll be okay.
Many years later after both children were fully grown with families of their own Soji got sick and was unable to fight it off, he soon died and left Hijikata all alone. Th elder man took some time of after the funeral but eventually went back to work. But shortly after he was shot during a patrol and although it wasn't too serious of a wound Hijikata didn't have the strength or will to fight it. As his eyes closed his life showed before them, lingering on his wedding day.
'You looked so beautiful in white.'
He said quietly while opening his eyes to see his lover standing before him in the same suit from all those years ago. Reaching out to grab the others hand he stood up and kissed him once more.
