Lucky
So I wrote this little drabble whilst listening to Lucky by Jason Mraz, hence the title. I hope you enjoy it!
Castiel smiled down from Heaven starring at the motel the Winchester brothers were currently staying in.
"Sweet dreams Dean," he whispered and folded his arms around his knees.
Inside the motel Dean smiled, he could have sworn he heard Cas, He rolled over in his sleep and wrapped his arms tightly around an extra pillow that lay next to him,
"Cas, if you're here, I miss you." Dean thought as he shifted in his sleep,
"I know Dean, I'm trying." Dean felt his heart fill with warmth that could only be compared to an angel's grace.
"Cas...is this real?"
"Yes, I'm tapping into your dreams, hope you don't mind."
"How could I?" Castiel smiled and Dean's brain was flooded with the picture of a park in the fall, Dean's favorite season. He starred down the bike path of the park and saw Castiel walking towards him with two mugs of coffee.
"Are you doing this?" Dean asked as Castiel handed him a mug,
"Maybe," Castiel looked down at his feet smiling.
"Well, why don't you whip up a bench then genie?" Castiel smiled at him and Dean watched two trees jump apart from each other. A lake appeared and Castiel led him down a small path to a bench just at the edge of the lake.
"It's rude to stare Dean," Dean shook his head and glanced at Castiel,
"This is perfect." Dean grabbed Castiel's hand, causing the angel to slide closer towards him. Dean wrapped his arm around Castiel's body and rubbed his hand across Castiel's side.
"So, how are things in heaven?" Castiel shook his head,
"Better, a lot of my siblings are…becoming more…understanding. But…freedom is still something they can't quiet wrap their heads around. Gabriel…he…he's helping. Most angels are more willing to listen to someone with his power then well…me." Dean put his cup on the ground and adjusting him and Castiel so Castiel was lying on Dean, who had both arms wrapped tightly around Castiel's body.
"I would listen to you,"
"Dean you're no angel." The couple smirked and Castiel squeezed on of Dean's hands,
"Cas…I don't know what heaven is like…but, this is pretty damn nice," Castiel smiled making Dean's heart flutter.
After two hours Castiel released Dean's hand,
"What's wrong?" Dean asked, planting a light kiss on top of the angel's head,
"I have to go, someone is calling me." Dean frowned as Castiel sat up, "I'll be back soon, I promise." Castiel stood up and began walking towards the lake.
"Wait!" Dean sat up too fast and felt his head pound.
"I'm sorry Dean, I really have to-"Dean grabbed Castiel's hand and pulled him into a long, desperate kiss. Dean pulled away smiling and Castiel looked out towards the lake, "I'll be back…soon…" Dean squeezed Castiel's hand once more before he let it drop,
"Better…or else I'll come up there myself and kick your angel ass." Castiel smiled at him,
"You're so romantic." Dean kissed his forehead and watched as he walked into the lake. Dean covered his eyes to block out the blinding light that came from where the angel had previously been standing. Dean's breath stifled and he walked up the hill and back into the park, wanting to explore the heaven Castiel had made for him.
