If you remember my request from Touch of Death, people sent in words for me to come up with stories. This story is dedicated to FlamingIceWolfGirl, whose word was wolf~
Chelsea laughed out loud as she rolled down the hill after her animal friends. Usually, she was very stoic and serious, but being around this pack of wolves completely changed her personality – at least until she had to return to civilization. For now, she was carefree and playful. She came to a stop at the bottom of the hill. Panting, she sat up and rubbed the head of the leader of the pack, chuckling lightly. At the moment, she was covered in grass, but personally, she couldn't care less.
"Huh, if only I could see you guys everyday..." Chelsea softly sighed as she hugged a little wolf to her chest. She lied down in the grass and stared at the sky, softly stroking the wolf's fur. Honestly, she could just lie here all day, but right now the wolf was wiggling out of Chelsea's grip. She giggled and let the pup go, watching as it ran over to it's mother.
"Enjoying yourself?" a familiar voice asked. The speaker sounded like he was smirking. Chelsea lifted her head off the ground... and instantly put it back down again, upon seeing that Vaughn was watching her while leaning against a tall tree. From the knee down, his legs were obscured by bushes. His arms were crossed, and he was indeed smirking. Chelsea felt her cheeks turn a little pink as she looked anywhere, as long as it wasn't Vaughn. The cowboy made his way out of the bushes and into the valley where Chelsea was lying.
"You really shouldn't be playing at a time like this. You have work to do." Vaughn said as he put out his hand. Chelsea took it and stood up, brushing grass off of herself with her free hand in the process.
"Fine..." Chelsea sighed. She whistled for the small wolf-pack to come over, and she patted each wolf's head. "Sorry guys, but I have to go now." she said. The pack let out a comical whine, and Vaughn couldn't help but smile as he watched Chelsea chuckle, the wind rippling through her hair and light reflecting off her sun-kissed cheeks. She was indeed beautiful.
It's short (and cheesy), but I hope it makes you guys (and FlameIceWolfGirl) happy :)
