"Three Relaxing Drabbles in a Mixed-Up Season Four"
Each are exactly 100 words, focusing on a "never happened" couple, yet each having potential.
Willow/Riley"Cheese is good," Willow says, flipping over the two grilled cheese sandwiches in the skillet.
"Cheese is very good," Riley agrees, standing beside her at the stove. He runs his hand over the back of her head. She leans into his touch.
"Probably the only thing better than cheese is melted cheese," Willow adds. She pushes the sandwiches around with the plastic blue spatula and soon Riley's larger hand gently closes over her own.
"Oh, there are things that are better," he whispers to her.
The spatula is abandoned as Willow's lips meet Riley's, his strong arms around her waist.
Xander/Spike"You're eating my ice cream!" Xander exclaims when he finds Spike on his couch, the pint of rocky road in his hands and Passions on the TV.
"Yeah. And it's bloody good," Spike says through a mouthful, pretty eyes blinking up at him.
Xander stands with him mouth open then groans. "Fine, I give up!" He sits down next to Spike and takes a spoonful from the pint.
Spike leans into the warmth of Xander's living body, elbows and arms touching comfortably as they watch TV.
"I like the marshmallow bits the best," Spike says.
"Yeah."
Two heads lean together.
Buffy/TaraBuffy and Tara sit side by side on the steps, the sun shining brightly on them. Books are open on their laps.
"So, why is he playing with frogs?" Buffy asks, bewildered by the text. Her foot creeps over to Tara's.
"Um, M-Maybe it's supposed to be comic?" Tara suggests.
Buffy's foot leaves the sandal and brushes against the bare skin of Tara's.
"And 'Somnambular Ballad'?"
Tara arches her foot while the other stokes against the edge and underside.
Buffy reaches across slowly to brush a strand of hair from Tara's eyes.
"'Green, how I w-w-want you green,'" Tara sighs.
A/N: Buffy and Tara are talking about Lorca's Gypsy Ballads .
