They'd been arguing for about half an hour now. She was angry and desperate and absolutely out of her mind because she could not make him understand. Could not make him feel. He, on the other hand, kept his inner calmness, though he had to admit he was getting quite annoyed. They'd been there a million times before: her babbling on about how she is in love with that boy and him reminding her that the angels simply cannot fall in love, or whatever she calls it.
'You are unbelievable!' She whined, pacing in front of him. 'It's like this tingling feeling when they touch you, and they are just dazzling, and the most important thing in the world, and… You must have felt it! At least at one point!' He could tell by the way she paced and whined and almost pleaded, that she was really making her last stand and soon they would send the topic to rest, however, he was not ready to let it go just yet.
'Please, do remind me, how many times I have to tell you, that what you claim to feel is impossible? The only entity you could feel anything towards is God itself.' He told her. She stopped dead in her tracks, exactly in front of him and stared at him for a moment. And then she surprised him. Or rather shocked him.
She grabbed him by the collar of his light blue shirt and eyes closed she pressed her lips on his whit intense passion. And she tasted sweet. Her other hand traveled up to his chest and he was actually dazzled and a bit dizzy. He felt the tingling and thought he would stop existing at that moment. He had to stop himself from automatically wrapping his hands around her waist, even though he was sure she would fit in his arms perfectly.
He froze and a few seconds later she stopped. She gave him one final questioning look and when he didn't react she walked out the front door. They never talked about it again. And that is how Gabriel fell in love with Bethany.
