An Ode to Walter Bishop

No more brilliant man walks this Earth

And he would agree with that

A connoisseur of fine sciences

His mind is like a whirlwind

Of ideas and emotions

Trying to escape a labyrinth

The most random thoughts

The most interesting thoughts

Thoughts that save lives

And save cities

And save worlds

And thoughts that fill stomachs

Coffee Cake

Root Beer Floats

Butterscotch Pudding

Fruit Cocktails

The funniest thoughts

Better than a tap dancing cow

He even comes complete

With a sidekick of a son

Who interprets those amazing thoughts

For us lesser beings

Who cannot comprehend his GENIUS

A man so brilliant that he is un-accepted

By those who do not understand him

A man so endearing

You can't help but love him

A man so child-like in his view of the world

That you feel he needs to be protected

At all costs

He must be safe

So he can keep thinking those thoughts

Those astute,

Dazzling,

Remarkable,

Superior,

Intellectual,

Brilliant thoughts

Blue Cotton Candy.

More brilliant than the writers who created him
