What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.

Chapter 1
Everything in Darkness Will come to Light
"CRUNCH! CRUNCH!" was all I was hearing as our caravan moved through Skyrim's rough northern snow. I had been following this caravan for many many days. It seemed like the only way I could escape my father's legacy. The greatest thief of Elsweyr and Cyrodiil. Now he's a man underneath 6 feet of dirt in Cyrodiil.
My mother had me on Masser's Waxing phase when Secunda was full, making me a Cathay. It was also when my father was in the last months of his life. I only knew what my mother and other people told me about him. I remember some man who came to her many times in my first 5 years of life and then never again did I see him. I know he wasn't my father because my oldest memory is him patting my mother's back as she cried. My mother told me only the other stories people told me. Never what she thought of him or even his name!
I guess I couldn't blame her. I heard he was a man with more blood on his hands than a Berserk Orc. I had to leave her though. I couldn't walk through Cyrodiil without Imperial soldiers and people looking at me with disgust. I had to leave that damn legacy before I get killed by the enemies of my father.
Now I am here in Skyrim hoping to get accepted by the College of Winterhold. My abilities as a mage needed to be made better since I was but a novice. These people were the best of the best! I could easily like it there. Hopefully the part of me being a Khajiit wouldn't make it hard for them accept me. However, I doubt people of such high intellect would be put under the impression of racism. Still, this is Skyrim. Nords are not the most...accepting to put it kindly.
I finally shook out of my thoughts as I saw the large college outside of Winterhold. The caravaner stopped and came up to me. "Jo Tai, I wish you luck in your journey, for we must stop here." the caravaner said to me. I simply nodded and replied "Thank you.". I then walked down to Winterhold trying to find a tavern. I walked into one called The Frozen Hearth. I then went up to the lady at the desk.
After getting a key to a room, I went in and layed on the bed and got out a spelltome on Shock. This was the last power I was learning in the field of Destruction spells. After trying to use it (and failing horribly), I went to bed. Tired from all the walking of today, I slept happily knowing I finally might be able to get a good life going.
