Potter,

I would not expect to hear from Draco, but I wish to express my gratitude toward you for sparing the life of my only child. Not just your word in the Forest, but during the battle within Hogwarts as well.

I hear you are now owner of the home in which I spent most of my childhood. I assume you know more than I would ever care to divulge with any party. I will make no attempt to defend nor make excuses. Nor discuss it. That also goes for the actions of my husband. If anything else, Kreatcher will serve you well. He's earned that.

I am only writing in thanks, on behalf of the life of my son. Do not doubt the impact that has had on him, and shall continue to have on us both.
