Christmas Eve-John, Sam, and Dean are at yet another hotel in yet another state hunting you guessed it…..yet another demon. A four year old Sam and an eight year old Dean are keeping themselves busy while John cleans the guns away from them…..

"Daddy….are you going to be out tonight?" asked Sam innocently

"Yes, you know that Dean will watch you" answered John not looking up

"Dean….what about Santa? What if daddy runs into him and shoots him!" said Sam scared

"Sammy…dad wouldn't shoot Santa, trust me" Dean answered

Two hours went by and after feeding his children their dinner he set out into the darkness but not before giving his sons a kiss goodnight

"Dean…do you believe in Santa?" Sam asked his older brother

"Sammy…I think its time for you to get ready for bed." Dean said quickly

Dean helped his brother change into his pajamas, brush is teeth, and get into the other double bed that they shared

"Night Sammy….I love you" said Dean kissing his brother on the forehead as he always did

"I love you" said Sam drifting off to sleep

Dean looked around the old hotel room…he stepped towards the window and pulled the curtain back just enough to see the surrounding buildings Christmas decorations and he sighed as he grabbed a piece of paper and pen off the nightstand

Dear Santa,

Who knows if you will ever get this…but here it goes. All I want for Christmas is…I want to be able to spend time with my dad since he's always out hunting. I take good care of my brother Sammy when my dad is out but I miss him. That's all I want…nothing else really.

Dean Winchester

Dean placed his letter on the nightstand, got ready for bed and climbed into bed next to Sam who was sound asleep and fell asleep instantly. Hours later..John came in and noticed the letter on the nightstand. When he was through…he made a vow that this Christmas was going to be different, he was going to be there for his children…
