Jane was sitting in the girl's dormitory with Lilly. She had just come back from hanging out with Sirius.
"Well it's true that we love on another." Jane said to Lilly. "But he told RJ 'I love Jane Potter like a little sister' but Lilly I love him too, but there's just so much that I don't know about him."
James came up the stairs and shouted, "Jane give me some money for some food."
"All the dough I give to you James you been using on butter beer." Jane said rolling her eyes.
"And tell Sirius to call me later if he's able." Jane shouted as James left.
"He's got the mirror in the back of his bible." James said rolling his eyes.
"James you're just pulling my leg and I'm just gonna ask Lil." Jane said turning back to Lilly.
"Lil do you think Sirius loves me?" Jane asked.
"I don't really care and James really bugs me. Why don't you ask him now?" Lilly said rolling her eyes.
"Well I would Lil but I really just don't know how." Jane said looking shameful.
"Just say 'Sirius do you adore me?'" Lilly said in a bad imitation of a desperate Jane.
"Well I would Lilly but love really bores me." Sirius said from the doorway.
"Well then maybe you should go away." Lilly said rolling her eyes.
"I'm just kidding Lilly you know I'll adore you to the end." Sirius said jokingly.
"Is it true that you love one another?" Lilly asked Sirius.
"I love Jane Potter like a little sister." Sirius shrugged looking away.
"Well Sirius I love you too but there's just so much that I don't know about you." Jane said.
"Jane give me some of your English lovin'" Sirius said with a flirty smile.
"If I did that Black I'd have one in the oven." Jane said half shoving him. "Why don't you go off and love yourself?"
"If I did that Jane there won't be anything left for anyone else." Sirius teased.
"Sirius it's too bad about the way you look." Jane said innocently.
"I'll give that dog a treat to bite your foot." Sirius said looking out at the young Fang playing with Hagrid on the front lawn of the school.
"Will the two of you cut it out!" Lilly snapped, "Just tell me what this is really all about."
"Well it's true that we love one another." Sirius said giving a sheepish smile.
"Don't you love Jane like a little sister?" Lilly asked.
"Well Sirius I love you too but there's just so much I don't know about you." Jane said.
"Jane I actually came up here to ask if you'd like to go to Hogsmeade with me." Sirius said looking over his shoulder.
"Sure, you wanna go work on potions with me?" Jane asked using the code they'd all constructed to avoid teachers catching them when they went to go break rules.
"Yeah !" Sirius said. Jane and Sirius walked away together.
"Ugh they took long enough to admit it." Lilly said before continuing her homework.
