She lost interest. That's it.
It wasn't that she didn't love the gothic half- vampire. He was the perfect example of a gentleman and a romantic. But, passion and lust disappear. And, now, Vladimir Todd was nothing more than a man living under the same roof as her. Vladimir Todd was amounting to nothing.
Snow was in love with the idea of betrayal and seduction. She wanted to have another man under her claws. She wanted a human to suck the life out of and a drudge to be her slave. She wanted to risk her relationship with late night club trips and screw around with some random rave boy with bleached hair and lime green contacts in a bathroom stall. She wanted to get a sophisticated, under-sexed college boy majoring in Philosophy drunk and in his beat-up car for a quickie. She wanted other men. Snow wanted a human man that wasn't Vladimir Todd.
But what was stopping her?
Was it the loyalty she felt for Vlad after he literally save her life? Was it some spell she didn't know he had put on her? Or, some other unworldly force that forced to be with him? She couldn't tell.
Maybe it was a spell cast upon her by Otis? Maybe he sensed her dream of adultery? He'd give her stern looks from time to time if he saw her straying too far from Vlad, or looking towards another boy. He probably saw the hungry look in her eye every time she saw some dark haired Goth alone wandering about. Everything that Otis gone through, though… It would make sense that he'd want to protect Vlad from such heart break.
But even that wouldn't stop Snow's unsightly obsession with cheating on her boyfriend. She needed an escape, or a way to get out. She wanted an escape.
Where would she find such an escape, though? She thought, pulling her coat closer around herself, and walking seductively into a sleazy bar in the middle of the night.
