Authors' Note: This is my very first fanfic, so please be polite when leaving a review! I hope you enjoy!
Two people that have completely different personalities, ways of thinking, logics, theories—they are said to be most attracted to each other. This is based off of the popular theory, "opposites attract", which says that when a magnets' south pole and another magnets' north pole touch, they will be attracted to each other. Just like two polar opposites, these two people whom have nothing in common will attract.
"Ugh! I'm so sick and tired of your attitude, Mako!"
"Yeah? Well I'm tired of your attitude, too! Y'know, just 'cause you're the Avatar it doesn't mean that you should just go around flaunting your skills during pro-bending matches! You almost made us lose!"
"Okay, okay, guys! Why don't we, um, calm down a little? Let's just be glad we won, alright?" Bolin said, sitting down on the bench in their training room. He grabbed a cool, wet towel and rubbed his face with it. "We're a team. We don't need to fight and then hate each other. Especially not during pro-bending! You'll both get us blown out of our chance at getting into the tournament with attitudes like that!" he said, placing the towel around his neck. Mako sighed. "He's right. Let's just…calm down," he said, sitting next to his brother. Korra huffed, and sat on the bench with them. "Well maybe I could calm down if I didn't hear you nagging about every little thing I do!" she cast a glare at Mako. "You're always reprimanding me!" she said, grabbing a towel and wiping her face off. Mako glared back. "Reprimanding you? I'm just telling you what you did wrong!" he said, grabbing a towel right after Korra. Korra scoffed. "Puh-lease! I think that you just need to shut your mouth more than you do open it!" she said, walking over to their lockers. Mako furrowed his brows. "Or maybe you just need to start doing things right!" he said in a stern voice. "Excuse me—" "Oookay, you two should just stop fighting, so we can get outta here and get home!" Bolin said, walking over to the lockers. Mako followed.
"Well, I guess we'll see you tomorrow?" Bolin asked Korra. Korra nodded. "Of course! I'll be there!" she said excitedly. She met eyes with Mako, both of them quickly turning away with a faint blush on their cheeks. "Okay, well, bye!" Bolin said, waving goodbye as he turned around and walked away with Mako.
Bolin glanced at Mako and saw the blush on his otherwise pale cheeks. "Ahh, opposites attract, huh?" he mumbled to himself.
Authors' Note: I hope this wasn't too bad. It was a prompt for a Makorra fanclub. The prompt was "opposites attract", if you were wondering. Please leave a polite review and maybe a few pointers, since my writing skills could be better. Oh, and yes, this was supposed to be short. The prompt said no more than 500 words!
