Disclaimer:
Me: Hey, Tony? Would you like to do the disclaimer for me?
Tony: The what?
Me: Whoa, what happened to the cocky genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist I expected?
Natasha: He died. No, seriously, The Hulk had to roar him back to life.
Me: I remember.
Clint: Uh, the disclaimer?
Me: Oh, yeah, whoever does that has to issue a warning to the readers as well.
Bruce: Who do you want to do it?
Me: I don't care.
*walks out of room carelessly*
Steve: Ok...
Thor: I will do this claiming that the fair lady talks of.
Natasha: No, Thor, it's DIS...Oh, screw it.
Thor: The fair lady, LifeIsNotForever-NotEvenClose, or as she prefers to be called, Dev, does not own Avengers. My duty has been fulfilled, and now, I bid you adieu.
Natasha: He forgot the warning.
Clint: Yeah...
Bruce: I'll do it. Warning: The Hulk may smash this place to bits.
*all stare at him*
Bruce: What? Oh, wrong warning?
Tony: Yeah. I'll do it. This story is quite dark, and could contain content not appropriate for young children. Please pay attention to the T for teen rating of this story.
Me: Thanks!
*yelling as I wander past the door aimlessly*
"We stop looking for the monsters under our bed when we realize they are inside of us."
"Nat?" I push the door to her apartment open.
"Go away." She says quietly, her voice breaking on the last word. "I don't want to hurt you."
"Hurt? Tasha, what are you talking about?" I ask as I venture further into her flat. "Tasha, where are you?'
She doesn't answer.
I nearly trip over her.
She's lying in the middle of the floor of the bedroom.
"Shi-Nat? What the hell? Why are you lying on the floor?" I ask her.
"Why not?" Her voice is muffled, her mouth pressed into the carpet.
"Tasha, what's going on? Are you…" I struggle to find the right word. Nothing with Natasha was ever okay.
"I told you to go away. I'm trying not to kill anyone."
I hastily kneel next to her and lift her head up to make her eyes meet mine. "Kill?" I whisper.
She pulls away from me harshly. "Kill." She says sharply.
I stare at her as she stands up, heading to the door.
"Get out."
I stand up. "I don't think so, Natasha."
She slams her door shut and strides over to me. For the first time, I get a clear look at her.
She looks…different.
Her black eyeliner is thick and smudged. Her beautiful red hair tangled and wild.
"Nat, what happened to you?" I whisper horrified.
"Nothing."
It's then when I see the blood dripping down her arm. Dark red.
I meet her gaze.
"I did this to myself." She whispers.
So, yeah, as you can see, this is quite dark. So, please, if you think this is too much for you, do not continue to read. I completely understand.
Review Challenge: Who wants an Avengers 2? Who's going to see Iron Man 3? Who's excited for The Winter Soldier? Who thinks that the rumour of a movie for Clint and Natasha should be true? Have you read the comics on all these people? Have y'all read any of my other stories? If not, please click on my name up at the top there, and read on.
Please, please, please review. Reviews=love=special shortbread cookies. So, yeah...If you want a cookie, y'all better review.
I love critiques, but please no rude comments. I got a review that was exceedingly rude on one of my other stories, and I was very pissed. So, please, not hate like that. Only harsh love.
Love ya,
Dev
