Waiting
Waiting [To Meet Her There] (Dunno who's
POV-Valgaav? Sounds like him and Filia again)
Fight back memories, turn the tide
Of useless feelings I hold deep inside.
What can they mean, how can I see,
What purpose, what use can they be to me?
I remember wings, wide and free,
That helped me to fly and soar endlessly.
I remember eyes, soft and deep,
They saw through my anger, saw my tears seep
From dead, soulless eyes, hard and cold,
Each fleck of color, a story untold.
Why am I crying, anyway?
I shouldn't be able to cry, but fate,
Fate intevened, left me just this.
Through memories shrouded with soft, white
mists,
I hear her voice, she's calling me.
Why is she crying, too, what can she see?
Her hand grasps mine, pulling me back
From eternity, but then it goes slack.
She's traded off her life for mine.
What can I do, I can't just let her die!
I grasp her hand, she looks at me.
She smiles just one last time, and I can see
Tears in her eyes, words left unsaid.
We don't speak aloud, but silently pledge
To meet there, in eternity,
And I know she'll be waiting there for me.
That's why I'm living without care;
If I finally fall, I'll meet her there.
