"Hakuryuu, are you okay?"

Alibaba handed Hakuryuu a bottle of water and a script, bracing a hand against his arm when he almost dropped the water.

"Yeah, sure. I'm completely fine." The sarcasm just dripped off his voice. But it was a good sign; at least he wasn't completely petrified yet. "There's only a million people out there expecting me to be the perfect Romeo, with the romantic 'But soft! What light through yonder window breaks?' and the charms, and I'm supposed to act like I'm in love." Hakuryuu looked terrified.

"Oh god, how am I supposed to do that and make it convincing? I'm going to mess this up, I just know it. Oh my god, there's a million people watching me-all of them will see it if I mess up! Oh god-"

"Whoa, Ryuu, calm down." Alibaba grabbed Hakuryuu's shoulders and turned to face him. "Dude, you'll be fine. We're almost sort of halfway through the play, and you've been perfect the last two acts. You'll do great!"

Hakuryuu wondered how Alibaba could smile so brightly when he was about to have a nervous breakdown, and then he remembered it's because he was Alibaba.

"Yeah, great. Sure." His eyes darted around nervously, not believing a single thing he was saying.

"Hakuryuu, look at me." Alibaba cupped one hand against Hakuryuu's cheek, turning his face to meet his. "You'll be fine, amazing, just like you always are. And if you panic and forget your lines, look for me on the side of the stage and I'll write your lines on a giant notecard."

Hakuryuu had to laugh at that; the image of Alibaba jumping around with a giant board that said "Oh, speak again, bright angel, for thou art/As glorious to this night, being o'er my head" was quite a sight to see.

And Alibaba smiled as well, though for quite different reasons. Wow, Hakuryuu really looked gorgeous when he laughed, Alibaba thought, he just wants to lean in, and brush his lips against—

"Alright, everyone, break's over! Act 2 Scene 2 in five…four…"

Hakuryuu brushed a quick kiss against Alibaba's cheek, before running off with a smile and a "Gotta go."
